Syria Army Aims to Expel Rebels from Town on Road to Capital

Syrian troops loyal to President Bashar Assad launched a broad offensive on Friday aimed at expelling rebels from the town of Adra, northeast of Damascus, state news agency SANA said.

The army warned in a televised statement that "the operation will continue until the terrorists are crushed completely."
