Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi revealed on Monday that a number of Hizbullah members around the world are involved in corruption and money laundering cases, pointing out that several were detained in Lebanon on the same charges.
“A number of cases have been unveiled related to Hizbullah's illegal activity and evading custom fees and taxes in Beirut's port and airport,” Rifi said in an interview with the Saudi newspaper al-Watan.

Al-Qaida-affiliate al-Nusra Front reiterated threats to target Hizbullah's stronghold, accusing it of supporting the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad and committing atrocities against Sunnis in Syria.
“The assaults that Hizbullah is committing against Sunnis in Syria are not a secret anymore... Our target at this stage is to attack the Iranian party's strongholds,” al-Nusra Front said via Twitter.

The dialogue between Hizbullah and al-Mustaqbal was in limbo after the two parties' officials exchanged accusations, a few days before a new round of talks between them.
Over the weekend, Hizbullah officials Hashem Safieddine and MP Mohammed Raad lashed out at the March 14 alliance's formation of the National Council.

Speaker Nabih Berri has said that Lebanon is confronting jihadists on the eastern border with Syria and “political” militants inside the country.
“Lebanon is confronting the terrorist Islamic State group on the border and the political IS in the interior,” local dailies quoted Berri as saying in remarks published on Monday.

More Lebanese expats are expected to be expelled from the United Arab Emirates in the upcoming weeks, al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Monday.
Sources following up the conditions of the Lebanese community in UAE quoted officials as saying that the deportation decision will include 120 Lebanese nationals in the upcoming weeks.

Army Commander General Jean Qahwaji stressed on Monday that the security situation in Lebanon is under control due to the high readiness of the army to confront all dangers.
“There are no fears on Lebanon in the presence of its unbreakable military, which is united, ready and coherent,” Qahwaji's visitors quoted him as saying in comments published in As Safir newspaper.

Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun rejected outright the extension of the terms of security officers, calling on the appointment of new generals to lead the army and the Internal Security Forces.
“Any further extension of their terms is a clear violation of the law,” Aoun told As Safir newspaper in an interview published on Monday.

Several Lebanese deported from the United Arab Emirates arrived in Beirut on Sunday for the second day in a row, the state-run National News Agency reported.
NNA said the Lebanese nationals residing in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman arrived at Rafik Hariri International Airport but refused to talk to the press.

Israeli soldiers violated on Saturday night the Blue Line that demarcates the border between Lebanon and Israel, announced the army in a statement on Sunday.
It said that three soldiers crossed overnight the border line near the southern town of Kfarkila.

The relatives of the victims of the army, who were killed in various clashes against extremists over the past two years, rejected on Sunday a possible settlement that would pardon fugitive Fadel Shaker.
They demanded during a rally in downtown Beirut the death penalty against “all who assaulted the army and created incitement against it.”
