Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he does not trust the Lebanese government in the issue of disarming Hezbollah, adding that the Israeli army will remain in the so-called security zone in south Lebanon.

“No, I don't trust them to disarm Hezbollah,” Netanyahu told Israel’s Radio North.

Technical talks between Lebanese and Israeli military delegations will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday at the headquarters of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in Tampa, Florida, LBCI reported on Monday.

The news channel learned from official sources that U.S. Marine Corps Major General Joseph Clearfield is expected to lead the American delegation.

Local media reported on Monday that a tunnel was discovered in a pine forest between Fanar and Zoaitrieh in the Matn district.

According to LBCI, the tunnel was initially found by Fanar municipal police, whereas MTV reported that security forces found the tunnel. An unidentified individual reportedly fled the scene upon the arrival of security personnel.
