Following Yemen's accusations that Hizbullah is sending fighters to engage in battles along the ranks of the Huthi rebels, former Minister Ashraf Rifi acknowledged the accusations and emphasized that Lebanon must not be used as a platform to launch verbal attacks against brethren countries.
“Hizbullah has trained a lot of fighters in Bahrain, Yemen, Iraq and Syria,” Rifi said in a televised appearance on al-Arabiya TV channel.

Israel's defense minister on Wednesday accused Iran of building an international terror network that includes "sleeper cells" that are stockpiling arms, intelligence and operatives in order to strike on command in places including Europe and the U.S.

Kataeb leader MP Sami Gemayel filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against the Council for Development and Reconstruction for its long standing failure to follow up on the trash management file since tasking of Sukleen with collecting garbage.
After talks he held with Prosecutor Samir Hammoud at the Justice Palace, Gemayel said: “The CDR is the body eligible to follow up on the work of the companies that are tasked to handle Lebanon's waste but it failed to do so and no one held it responsible for that.”
CEO of Al Iktisaad Wal Aamal Group Raouf Abou Zaki stated on Wednesday that the latest Saudi measures against Lebanon have a direct effect on the financial and economic situation but assured that no measures have been taken against Lebanese expats so far.
“The Saudi measures against Lebanon have a direct impact on the economic and financial situation in the country,” Abou Zaki told the Voice of Lebanon radio (100.5).

February 24 is the deadline when the waste contractor for Greater Beirut and Mount Lebanon Sukleen will stop removing the trash from the streets after the disposal ground began to run out of space, as per Sukleen officials.

In a telephone call with Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc chief Fouad Saniora, Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi reiterated more than once that his resignation from the cabinet was driven by his inability to carry on in a government “governed by the will of Hizbullah.”

Gulf Cooperation Council states announced on Saturday their support for Saudi Arabia’s decision to stop its military aid to Lebanon.
Saudi Arabia announced on Friday it is halting deals worth $4 billion aimed at equipping and supporting the Lebanese army and security forces.

Al-Mustaqbal Movement chief MP Saad Hariri held Hizbullah and the Free Patriotic Movement responsible for the Saudi military aid halt, reiterating that fiery rhetoric targeting Saudi Arabia is totally rejected and does not represent Lebanon's policy.
“Hizbullah and the Free Patriotic Movement are to blame for the suspension in Saudi aid,” said Hariri after a meeting he held with Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan at Dar el-Fatwa on Saturday.

Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geaega stressed on Saturday that the government must demand Hizbullah to stop making fiery statements against Saudi Arabia following the Kingdom's decision that halted aid to the country's army.
“The Lebanese government must convene and draw a formal request for Hizbullah to stop its attacks against Saudi Arabia,” said Geagea in a press conference.
The ministerial committee tasked with following up on the months long trash management file kicked off a meeting at the Grand Serail on Saturday after the export plan failed to rid the country of its piling garbage.
"Discussions are to focus on reviving the plan to establish landfills in several areas in Lebanon," Education Minister Elias Abou Saab said before he joined the interlocutors.
