Mount Lebanon Prosecutor Judge Ghada Aoun on Tuesday released Fadi al-Hashem, the husband of Lebanese popstar Nancy Ajram, the National News Agency said.

Nasrallah: Fair Response to Soleimani Killing is Ouster of U.S. Forces from Region

Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Sunday said that the response to the assassination of Iran’s top general Qassem Soleimani should be nothing short of the ouster of all U.S. forces from the region.

The husband of Lebanese popstar Nancy Ajram shot dead a burglar who broke into the couple’s villa in the Keserwan area of New Sehayleh at dawn Sunday.

The National News Agency identified the masked and armed robber as 31-year-old Syrian national Mohammed Hasan al-Moussa.

Posters of slain top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani have appeared on billboards on roads near Beirut’s international airport.

The posters describe Soleimani as “The Leader of the Martyrs of the Axis of Resistance”.

Hizbullah deputy chief Sheikh Naim Qassem said Sunday that the United States carried out a "very stupid act" by killing top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.

Caretaker Minister of Energy Nada al-Bustani announced on Saturday that Lebanon received its first shipment of gasoline on behalf of the state to avoid any fuel shortage in the future.

Security forces on Friday used tear gas inside a bank in Akkar’s Halba in a bid to eject protesters following clashes, the National News Agency said.

NNA said the bank and the area outside it witnessed scuffles, stone-throwing and gunshots that were fired in the air.
