Jean Todt was unanimously reelected for a second term as president of motorsport's ruling body the FIA on Friday.

The result was a foregone conclusion as the 67-year-old Frenchman was unopposed in the election after Britain's David Ward withdrew from the race last month after failing to secure enough support to be nominated.

Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards, who turned 50 on Thursday, is planning to jump again on New Year's Day in Germany -- 25 years after finishing last at the 1988 Olympics.

Britain's Edwards is planning to jump again at Bavaria's Garmisch-Partenkirchen on January 1, a World Cup large hill event, and is set to come to Germany to train next week.

Former Spain coach Luis Aragones, the founder of the country's "tiki-taka" style of football, announced he is retiring.

The 75-year-old Aragones, who last coached in 2009 at Turkish club Fenerbahce, tells Spanish online magazine Voxpopuli that "age has retired me. When I left Turkey I knew it would be difficult to continue and today it is definitive."

Bayern's Robben out for Six Weeks

Dutch star Arjen Robben is out for six weeks after suffering a painful knee injury in Bayern Munich's German Cup third round win at Augsburg, the club said Thursday.

As well as Saturday's league trip to Werder Bremen, Robben misses Tuesday's Champions League tie at home to Manchester City, with Bayern through to the knock-out stage, as well as the Club World Cup in Morocco to be played from December 11 to 21.
