Blackberry Users Complain of Ongoing Email Delays

Research In Motion said Wednesday it is investigating reports of Blackberry users still experiencing email woes, after a service outage affected millions of people worldwide last month.

"We're getting reports that some users are experiencing delays," the Canadian company said in a tweet. "We're investigating and will update you ASAP (as soon as possible)."

Cyber Attacks Hit Fujitsu Local Government System

A Fujitsu computer system run by about 200 Japanese local governments has been hit by a series of cyber attacks and is in a vulnerable condition, the company said Thursday.

The online system, developed to enable local residents to request official certificates and documents on the Internet, was paralyzed twice on Wednesday afternoon, a Fujitsu spokesman said.

iPhone 4S Fever Hits Hong Kong

Hong Kong was gripped by iPhone 4S fever on Thursday as more than 1,500 fans and resellers queued outside the Apple store ahead of the release of the Smartphone in the southern Chinese city.

The crowd -- including the elderly and parents with children in tow -- began to converge on a footbridge opposite Apple's plush new harbor side store on Monday, setting up tents with mats, chairs and blankets.

Adobe Backs off on Flash for Mobile Browsers

Adobe says it will pull Flash, its software for Web video and software, from the Web browsers of mobile devices. Flash will still work on mobile apps and on computers' Web browsers.

It's a win for Apple Inc., which has famously banned Flash from working on the iPhone and the iPad. Adobe Systems Inc., though, says the about-face is about listening to what customers want.

Wikipedia on Wednesday said it was banking on growth in themobile phone sector and increased Internet access to boost content in Indian languages ranging from Hindi to Telugu.

The online encyclopedia currently has versions in more than 20languages spoken in India, but the number of pages compared with English, and considering the size of India's 1.2 billion population, is small.

iPhone 4S Gets Thumbs up from Consumer Reports

Consumer Reports, the influential magazine for product reviews, gave a thumbs up to Apple's new iPhone on Tuesday after declining to recommend the previous model because of reception problems.

"Apple's newest smartphone (the iPhone 4S) performed very well in our tests, and while it closely resembles the iPhone 4 in appearance, it doesn't suffer the reception problem we found in its predecessor," Consumer Reports said.

U.S. to Pursue Suit against AT&T, T-Mobile Deal

U.S. Department of Justice lawyers "are ready and eager to go to court" in a bid to block AT&T's $39 billion takeover of T-Mobile, Attorney General Eric Holder assured lawmakers on Tuesday.

"The Justice Department does not file matters in court, does not file suits challenging proposed mergers unless we are prepared to follow them all the way through," Holder, who has rescued himself from the lawsuit, told the Senate Judiciary Committee.
