Four Hurt in 'Accidental' Blast in Turkey Kurdish City

Four teenagers were wounded when a homemade bomb accidentally exploded in the main Kurdish-majority city of Diyarbakir in southeastern Turkey on Tuesday, a local security source said.

An 18-year-old man transporting the bomb for an alleged attack on behalf of the rebel Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) lost his hands in the explosion, the source said.

Erdogan Says Morsi 'My President' in Egypt

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Sunday that ousted Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamed Morsi was the only legitimate president of Egypt in an interview with a Turkish newspaper.

"Currently, my president in Egypt is Morsi because he was elected by the people," he told the pro-government Today's Zaman. "If we don't judge the situation like that it is tantamount to ignoring the Egyptian people," he added.

Zgheib: Hizbullah, Iran Do Not Meddle in Negotiations to Release Aazaz Pilgrims

Parents Win Right to Name Child 'Kurdistan' in Turkey

Turkey's highest court on Saturday allowed a Kurdish couple the right to name their daughter "Kurdistan", a word historically banned because it was considered seditious, local media said.

Turkish news agency Dogan said the appeals court overturned a lower court's decision to bar Yunus and Elif Toprak's from naming their daughter after the region Kurds consider to be their ethnic homeland.
