Six Charged in France for Holding Woman as Sex Slave

Six men and women were charged Sunday for the rape and torture of a young woman allegedly held as a sex slave in France for more than a month, beaten and forced to engage in bestiality.

The 20-year-old victim, who has mental health difficulties, was allegedly held prisoner in the city of Verdun in northern France.

Two Syrian Men Found Dead in Beirut Warehouse

The bodies of two Syrian nationals were found on Thursday in a warehouse for food products in the Saqiet al-Janzir area of Beirut, the National News Agency reported.

"The bodies were found when the warehouse's owner was pulling the place's ruins after a fire had erupted in it on January 11,” the NNA explained, adding that Abdul Karim Abdallah Shatila, the owner, was shocked to find the burned bodies of his two employees buried there.

Hoax Bomb Threat at Verdun 732 Center in Beirut

A pamphlet stating that a bomb will be detonated at the Verdun 732 Center in Beirut was found near the center on Wednesday, reported the National News Agency.

Security forces immediately arrived at the scene and conducted a search of the building without finding any explosives.

Geagea: New Majority is Syria and Hizbullah, Miqati Didn’t Make Real Proposal on Cabinet Structure

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said Tuesday that he conveyed to PM-designate Najib Miqati March 14 alliance’s fears of the new majority that he dubbed as Syria and Hizbullah.

Geagea told reporters in Maarab that he informed Miqati during a meeting they held at the PM-designate’s residence in Verdun on Monday that the March 14 forces had no problem with him as a person.

Premier-designate Najib Miqati reportedly held two-hour talks with Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea at his residence in Verdun on Monday night.

An Nahar daily said Tuesday that Geagea also stayed for dinner. The LF leader reportedly told the prime minister-designate that he was mandated by the March 14 forces to negotiate with him.
