Iran said Thursday it will build a new uranium enrichment facility after the United Nations nuclear watchdog adopted a resolution criticizing Iran for "non-compliance" with its obligations.

"The necessary orders have been issued by the head of the Atomic Energy Organization to launch a new enrichment center in a secure location," said a joint statement from the organization and the foreign ministry, adding that "other measures... will be announced later".

U.S. President Donald Trump said he was less confident than a few months ago about prospects for reaching a deal with Iran over its nuclear program, speaking in a podcast aired Wednesday.

South Korea on Wednesday halted loudspeaker propaganda broadcasts into the nuclear-armed North, the defense ministry said, adding it was a bid to "restore trust" under Seoul's new administration.

The decision to suspend the broadcasts "was made to make good on a promise to restore trust in South-North Korea relations and seek peace on the Korean peninsula", the defense ministry said in a brief statement, adding the halt started Wednesday.

At least four people were killed in Colombia on Tuesday as rebel groups detonated bombs near police stations in the city of Cali and the neighboring Cauca province, according to authorities.

Military and police spokespeople blamed the attacks on the FARC-EMC, a group led by former members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia who broke away from the group after it signed a peace deal with the government in 2016.
