you are too optimistic!
wether aoun or hizbushaitan are suicidal maniacs: it is our way or let all hell brake loose :)
but what they do not expect is that we are ready for that alternative and it will cost them (and us) a lot.
instead of being reasonable and give up their weapons to the army, they are so power hungry that they will destroy the whole country.
this is a good analysis but it is taking into account part of the problem: the west plus russia.
however, iran is not tackled in this equation.
iran needs to export its influence outside its borders, and after losing any hope in Bahrain (at least for the time being) and the way things are going in iraq, as well as in syria, they are no putting all their strength in lebanon.
this is a factor that we should not oversee in any analysis.
with all the errors made by doctors and hospitals in lebanon and never one doctor has been prosecuted so far, it is good to see a judge really pushing on this subject.
everybody should be accountable.
a doctor is a flight risk, as he has enough means to do so, thus a preventive arrest is logical.
it all depends on this wednesday discussions between the US and russia.
the logical scenario is as follows:
- major war with israel in lebanon.
- major strike on iran (unless iran backs off on the nuclear issue).
- the syrian regime will collapse.
this scenario will happen with the upcoming 2 months.
@jabal
what you said is reason.
unfortunately wether we want it or not we will be faced with a major issue: the iranian weapons in lebanon:
- they serve iran in the first place.
- in the second place, they want to keep a foothold on the mediterranean, and expand their so-called revolution.
the problem is they know they lost their bid for Bahrain, and their intent is to do whatever it takes (wether through weapons or through hegemony) to take over lebanon, which is their last resort after the fall of the syrian regime, their only bargaining chip left.
this is why we have to defend our way of life unless you wish to end up in a country living the iranian way.
the lebanese people are most probably the most mentally ill people in this world, and they are the most untreated :)
unfortunately, nothing is done for the human being in lebanon and he is left on his own to manage however he can.
