we know what really happened lebneneh. the army went in to get a wanted man but he and his gang ambushed and killed them, putting in application the motto said by the town's mayor a few months back (that if we tried to arrest "any" of them they would use arms).
now those behind it and those who'd rather invent silly stories than face the reality will always deny and imagine fancy stories, despite reason and facts

i condemn both the rebels who kidnapped 40 civilians a few hours ago, and those who responded now with the same kind of lowness.
only win-win possibility here is that they make an exchange, and both sides should release all their hostages. any other scenario is a lose-lose.

mckinl are you sure the reserves are not more than that? i dont know the figures, but if indeed it's only 40Bn$ worth or less, it clealry wont be enough to pay back hariri's legacy.. better than nothing anyway
