If the CIA hadent funded osama and given him weapons to arm the (then) US-friendly taliban, there would have never been alqaeda. But then again, without alqaeda there would have been no reason to invade afghanistan and iraq, so they really owe osama big time for his help. he is in fact the biggest unsung hero of modern american history.
