Army Denies Report that Rmeileh Cell was Planning to Shoot Down UNIFIL Chopper

Syria's interest: losing Lebanon (which was totally predictable and i, among others, predicted it the very same day, 14/02/2005)
Syria's interest: losing someone, who despite the talks had given them everything they wanted, including the latest most "heated" subject: lahoud's term prolongation.
Syria's interest: heating up the Sunnis, in Lebanon and elsewhere, against the alawite regime
About Iran, they dont have direct interests, but Hariri was Nasrallah's friend, and him dead is a loss for Hezbollah, and a threat of sunni-shia strife...

nobody wins in this slash, except those who hope for civil war and sectarian strife.

ps: hariri's death did not weaken the Sunnis, and almost never in history, has the death of a leader weakened the group. to the contrary, the attacked group radicalizes and mobilizes itself much more then it ever would have, and the leader is replaced.

castro ure just impolite and agressive since your first post, this i cannot do anything about, but you're also naive and here maybe i can help you:
the STL was imposed by the UN, the same UN which is controlled by the US, the same US which does everything israel asks them to.
the UN which never imposed a sanction or took any action against israel, despite the tens of resolutions (vetoed by israel's dog of course)
the STL in result, refused to investigate in israel's direction, they went to israel, swallowed all the israeli BS and came back making a speech thanking israel for the "precious information".

did you really expect that STL to name anyone else but israel's enemy?

40 Syrian Policemen Killed as Rebels Overrun Aleppo Posts

because despite what you're being told the people are with him. the rebels are mercenaries and foreign fighters, and using foreign money and weapons to create chaos. reports are now saying the people are fighting with him against the rebels. only time will tell, but i sure hope eh doesnt surrender to the fanatic freaks, because if they come to power Lebanon will fall into the darkest era it ever witnessed. you think those who are destroying syria for their personal gain will give a **** about Lebanon? they will re-invade us and impose the salafi dream.

your first post: "cowards... fuck off ... dogs ... bomb the shit out of Iran..."
that's polite and not aggressive? weird... i must have gotten it wrong then!
ps: i didnt label you as israeli lover, i stated a fact which you totally dodged in your answer. if you want to show "you know what's going on", please, read again and answer with anything pertinent and credible.

phoenix, the djihadists are already here in syria, how is letting them take over syria less risky for iran?
also, israel's attacks, if they could afford to attack iran, don't you think they would have done it a loooong time ago? they can destroy iran, yes, but iran can also cause some very serious destruction on israel, and israel can't afford it. that's why they're doing what they always do: trying to get others to fight their wars for them...

no slash, he wasnt going against syria, he had just given them what they wanted. you're drawing projections on what he "might" have done after his death, and i can't follow you there! i dont "hate" hariri, but it is true he robbed the whole country blind, he made billions and put us in a situation where we can never be free again. how can you be sovereign when your debt is several time the entire GDP?? imagine they withdraw the money they lent us? just a second... that's making us slaves, plain and simple, but smartly done.

And no Hassan did not gain popularity after Rafic's death, it was after the 2006 war, you're mixing up different causes and different consequences. his popularity had also boosted in 200 when the israelis ran out of south lebanon, no need to kill hariri for that!

Hassan also did the same thing in terms of building schools, fighting poverty, building hospitals and trying to develop the south, which NO hadent been helped by anyone else and left to rot since way before the civil war!
Turning radical is a curse for the people radicalized, yes, but for their enemies too! would you prefer an enemy ready to die fighting without a second's hesitation, or one who is too happy too soft and too scared to die?
and no bashar didnt say he would spread chaos, that's something that fake propaganda put in his mouth and it's terrible how a lie becomes truth years later!! please verify your sources. i remember the trucks, but that was a formality matter, or maybe also a way to remind us (or those who were spitting on them) that we need them. but in any case they reopened and this was never a problem since.

slash you know very well that dividing the country means the end of us all, we're already smaller than a fart, how long would we last if we were 4 or 5 times smaller? we'd be eaten one after the other.
and slash have you ever been south? did you count the number of army roadblocks? try speeding through one of them, whether you're a tourist or nasrallah himself, you'd get a rain of bullets before they even figure out who you are.

i dont think hezbollah is entering syria, we already talked about this and besides the regular members of hezbollah who always were in syria for coordination, i dont think there are any more.
on the other hand, the jihadists are not doing it covertly btw, they are shouting it on all roofs, posting videos of themselves and being as loud as they can...
for those who dont try to blind themselves, this is a war in syria between the regime and foreign regimes, who dare talk of democracy for syria but are the most backward and obscurantist dictatorships in the world. if saudi topples bachar, and takes control of syria via its proxies, you can be sure the salafi dream will come crashing through your door.
