11 January 2012, 03:50

Mowaten... I suspect it's hariri himself.

Mob Kills 2, Burns Mosques in Raid on Nigerian Village

14 January 2012, 06:30

God have mercy on the souls of the innocent civilians being martyred on both sides. This is exactly what the terrorist Boko haram wanted when they started all this.

Aoun: Some Sides Trying to Privatize Electricity Sector as They Did with Mobile Telecom. Sector

18 January 2012, 03:47

Reform. "This is against what every modern and thriving economy has done." Privatisation of national infrastructure is not occurring in china, india, brazil or the oil rich gulf. These are the "thriving" economies at the moment. Privatisation was encouraged so that big american and western multi national corporations could buy up other countries strategic infrastructure. Now that most of these buyers are chinese gov owned companies or sovereign wealth funds, the western "thriving" economies are less enthusiastic.

However, you do need competent and uncorrupted government oversight.... something greatly lacking in Lebanon.

Hariri Says GCC Must Adopt Qatar Proposal on Syria Troops

19 January 2012, 07:45

What a hero... maybe you can coordinate the troops yourself through twitter. This time however, instead of invading Bahrain to brutally suppress peaceful demonstrations... the same troops can enter syria on the side of the armed protesters.

It's forbidden to protest in saudi arabia, Kuwait and bahrain, where these "protesting cockroaches must be crushed".... but syria? Send in the troops to allow democracy. LOL Hypocrisy has no limits.

Geagea Calls on Hizbullah to Negotiate over ‘Arms Settlement’

19 January 2012, 16:18

The Patriot... 10,452km2 includes the Shebba farms. This is fact. It's interesting (sad) how desperately you are trying to convince others that they are not part of Lebanon.

Geagea Calls on Hizbullah to Negotiate over ‘Arms Settlement’

19 January 2012, 16:35

They have many times. People like you either diliberatly distort the truth or only see and hear what they want to.

"Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said the Israeli-occupied Shebaa Farms belong to Lebanon. Assad told a news conference in Paris before ending a state visit to France, Beirut and Damascus will demarcate their countries' border at Shebaa Farms after Israel withdraws from the region."

Geagea Calls on Hizbullah to Negotiate over ‘Arms Settlement’

19 January 2012, 17:04

How exactly do Lebanese and Syrians demarcate the border when the whole area is illegally occupied by Israel?

Yes and why wouldn't "the region" mean Golan? It belongs to Syria and it should be returned in line with more than 10 international U.N. resolutions which israel is in continuous breach, along with over 60 others.

Hariri Receives Telephone Call from Saudi Monarch to Inquire about his Health

24 January 2012, 15:21

Wow... This is better than the story about Kim kardasian's sister might be fathered by some other idiot.

Hariri Receives Telephone Call from Saudi Monarch to Inquire about his Health

Really naharnet? This is what passes as "lebanon news"? We understand that hariri owns a significant share in the al nahar... Surely publishing his every tweet is enough.

Electricity Crisis Likely to Worsen as Bassil Calls for More Rationing in Beirut

24 January 2012, 15:36

Any one who thinks that Lebanon's electricity crisis is the fault of Bassil is obviously either misinformed or purposely embarrassingly partisan. This problem is a result of 20 years of neglect and corruption (mostly under the martyr hariri's government.) no one can solve this problem overnight, to think so is unfair.

Bassil is not the richest man in lebanon as some trymto mislead. Have we all forgotten what he did with the telecom ministry? When everyone said that reducing rates would bankrupt the ministry (the main source of gov income), it did the opposite and no one gives him credit for the cheaper rates. However, he is not my favorite minister or member of the fpm. He is very arrogant, and comes of very childish with his silly comments. Ibrahim Kaanan is much better.
