انفجرت سيارتان مفخختان يقودهما انتحاريان بمدخل ساحة الامويين في قلب العاصمة السورية دمشق، بحسب ما اعلنت وكالة الانباء السورية الرسمية مساء الاحد.
ونقلت الوكالة في شريط اخباري عاجل "تفجيران ارهابيان بسيارتين مفخختين يقودهما انتحاريان عند مدخل ساحة الامويين في دمشق" من دون الاشارة الى وقوع ضحايا.
ثم نقلت الوكالة في وقت لاحق عن "مصدر ميدانى ان كمية المتفجرات الموضوعة فى كل سيارة قدرت بنحو 100 كغ" مشيرا الى أن احدى السيارتين من نوع هيونداى والثانية من نوع هوندا.
من جهته افاد مراسل التلفزيون السوري الرسمي من مكان الحادث ان "الانفجارين وقعا عند الاشارة الضوئية الموجودة عند مدخل ساحة الامويين بالقرب من مبنى الهيئة العامة للاذاعة والتلفزيون وفصلت بينهما دقائق".
واوضح المراسل ان مبنى الاذاعة والتلفزيون "لم يصب باذى الا ان اضرارا اصابت الحاجز الاسمنتي الموضوع امامه".
ولم يشر المراسل الى وقوع اصابات بشرية الا انه افاد "بوجود اشلاء جثة يرجح انها تعود لاحد الانتحاريين".
وبث التلفزيون صورا لمكان الانفجار بدت فيها السنة لهب تضيء المكان.
