الجيش السوري يحرز تقدما استراتيجيا جديدا في القلمون بسيطرته على مدينة دير عطية

أحكمت القوات النظامية السورية سيطرتها اليوم الخميس على مدينة دير عطية في منطقة القلمون الاستراتيجية شمال دمشق، في وقت تستمر التحضيرات لعقد مؤتمر جنيف الهادف الى ايجاد حل سياسي للازمة السورية.
ونقلت وكالة الانباء الرسمية (سانا) عن مصدر عسكري اليوم ان "وحدات من جيشنا الباسل أحكمت سيطرتها الكاملة على مدينة دير عطية بريف دمشق بعد القضاء على اخر تجمعات الارهابيين فيها".
واوضح مسؤول امني لوكالة فرانس برس "ان عملية السيطرة استغرقت نحو اربعة ايام"، وان "عمليات مطاردة الارهابيين مستمرة في الاماكن المجاورة" لدير عطية الواقعة على بعد 88 كلم من دمشق والتي يقطنها حوالى عشرة الاف شخص غالبيتهم من المسيحيين.
الا انه اشار الى استمرار اقفال طريق حمص دمشق السريع بسبب رصاص القنص.
وقال المرصد السوري لحقوق الانسان في بريد الكتروني ان القوات النظامية تمكنت "من استعادة السيطرة بشكل شبه كامل على مدينة دير عطية بعد اسبوع من الاستيلاء عليها من جانب الدولة الاسلامية في العراق والشام والكتيبة الخضراء وجبهة النصرة وكتائب اخرى".
واوضح مصدر امني سوري آخر ان الجيش دخل ايضا مدينة النبك في القلمون على بعد حوالى سبعين كيلومترا من دمشق. وقال لوكالة فرانس برس "اذا تمت السيطرة على النبك، الهدف التالي سيكون بلدة يبرود وبعض القرى المجاورة من اجل اقفال الحدود تماما مع لبنان ومنع المسلحين من التنقل عبرها".
وقال المصدر الامني ان الهدف التالي المرجح للنظام هو "استعادة جنوب البلاد، اما الشرق والشمال، فالى مرحلة لاحقة".
ويسعى النظام الى خنق كامل لمعاقل المعارضة المسلحة في محيط دمشق وفي وسط البلاد، كون القلمون تصل بين منطقتي دمشق وحمص.
وتخوض قوات النظام هذه المعركة التي بدأت قبل حوالى اسبوعين مدعومة من حزب الله. وبحسب خبراء، يسعى النظام الى ان يكون في موقع قوة في مؤتمر جنيف2 المحدد في 22 كانون الثاني للتفاوض حول انهاء الازمة.
وكانت القوات النظامية سيطرت في 19 تشرين الثاني على مدينة قارة في القلمون.
وتعتبر منطقة القلمون استراتيجية لانها تشكل قاعدة خلفية للمعارضة المسلحة يزودون منها معاقلهم في ريف دمشق وبعض المناطق المتبقية لهم في حمص بالسلاح والرجال.
وكان مقاتلو المعارضة قاموا بهجوم مضاد لفك الطوق عنهم في الغوطة الشرقية شرق العاصمة، واحرزوا تقدما بسيطا قبل ان يوقفهم الجيش مدعوما من حزب الله.

Ok guys here is a thought. I don't think all of you are supporters of Al Qaeda i just think you are silly still bearing grudges because of the Syrian Army's presence in Lebanon back in the day, now not only Syria was here also Israel, Israel got kicked out by Hezbollah as we all know. You guys had your Cedar Revolution, are you gonna hate Syria and Syrians forever because of the past? Grow up guys, think about the future. Al Qaeda will take the whole middle east if we don't open our eyes before it's too late. I have no love for neither Assad nor HA, but those ISIS and Al Nusra loonies are much, much worse for both Syria and Lebanon. I hope that they will be thoroughly defeated, and I don't care by whom. They must not be allowed to have a foothold in the Levant. I also hope that all sides in Syria come to their senses and realize that there is no military solution for this conflict. They must meet in Geneva and start working on a settlement.

Very well said. When Shiite/H.A. say we are the "resistance", it is only partially relevant to the extent that they are fighting for the preservation of their version of Lebanon which includes the route to Syria, part of Iraq, Iran, etc. and their politics in the region which doesn't elevate the interests of our "Wattan" (the Wattan is a singular belief and inclusive love for one's country). Their enemies, on the other hand, call it Muslim Bros, Wahabist through their thugs the Al Nusra, Al-Qaeda, etc. will most likely do more damage to the Levant as they have no inherent ties/business in the region other than the needs artificially created by their oil money. Both sides got to have a Middle Eastern and global in nature treaty that ends this vicious cycle of violence and free those trapped in their turmoil.

Look it, most Lebanese are with you in theory. However, there is a very big "but". Those who oppose the existence of H.A. understood, as we saw it coming, the true intention of this quasi military and political party. Even if we all in our hearts believe that H.A. is the only true and legitimate resistance against any Israeli aggression, in practice H.A.'s commitment to the resistance is a portion of the overall purpose and intention of its creation which most of the time will go against purely Lebanese interests since it is the brain child of a foreign interest with conflicting regional interests and competing religious ideologies.
