البابا يعرب للراعي عن اهتمامه البالغ بأوضاع الشرق الأوسط ولبنان

أعرب الحبر الاعظم البابا فرنسيس الأول للبطريرك الماروني بشاره الراعي، عن اهتمامه البالغ بالاوضاع في الشرق الاوسط عامة وفي لبنان خاصة.
وأتى موقف البابا خلال لقائه المشاركين في اعمال مجمع التربية الكاثوليكية، ومن بينهم الراعي بصفته عضوا في المجلس.
وسيلتقي البابا الاسبوع المقبل البطريرك الراعي للمرة الثانية.
بتاريخ 9 تشرين الثاني 2013، عين البابا فرنسيس الراعي عضوا في مجمع التربية الكاثوليكة في الفاتيكان لمدة خمس سنوات.
يذكر أنه يقدر عدد المسيحيين بحوال 2,9 مليار شخص في العالم، لكن التقديرات المتعلقة بالذين يقتلون منهم سنويا بسبب دينهم متفاوتة بشكل كبير بين تسعة آلاف (اي واحد كل ساعة) ومئة الف (11 كل ساعة).
وتقول المجموعة الاميركية الانجيلية "اوبن دورز" ان كوريا الشمالية والسعودية وافغانستان والعراق والصومال والمالديف ومالي وايران واليمن واريتريا تأتي على رأس اللائحة. ووضع المسيحيين يتدهور بسرعة في سوريا وفي اثيوبيا.
ويتخذ الراعي موقفا محايدا من الأزمة السورية وينتقد دائما "الربيع العربي الذي تحول إلى شتاء" رغم أنه يعلن في الوقت عينه وقوفه "مع الشعب السوري" من دون أن ينتقد النظام.

In particular, the Pope stressed his support for Lebanon's Taef "Accord" whereby the Muslim majority, consisting largely of Shiites who by themselves are a majority of Lebanon's population. The Pope told al Rahi in the presence of journalists, "Christianity is the scientifically proven religion; why, in Lebanon, one Christian vote is worth three Muslim votes." Later, the Pople's secretary, Moshe Flintberg, told journalists that the Pope meant no dispect to Muslims, saying, "It's not their fault that they are Muslims."

I forgot to tell you what the Pope was talking about: the Taef "Accord" gives half of Lebanon's Parliamentary seats to Christians, who make up about a quarter of the national population.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Don't let this be a day of mourning, despite Black Valentine's nine years ago. We have a Lebanon to think of. Let's focus on that on a day symbolizing passionate love. Think of Mandella: if he could forgive his former enemies for the sake of moving on and making his country great, I'm pretty sure we Lebanese lack for nothing to do at least as well. "Lubnan baladun mustaqil, sayyidon 3ala nafsihi"!
