الراعي عن زيارته إلى القدس: مجبور بزيارة شعبي ومن ينزعج لا يحضر إلى بكركي

رفض البطريرك الماروني بشارة الراعي الثلاثاء بشدة المواقف المنتقدة لزيارته إلى القدس لاستقبال البابا فرنسيس الأول في هذا الشهر، داعيا المنرعجين من زيارته إلى عدم المجيء إلى بكركي، ورافضا بشكل قاطع النقاش في الزيارة من عدمها.
وقال الراعي بعيد وصوله إلى بيروت في مطار رفيق الحريري الدولي آتيا من فرنسا عصر الثلاثاء "القدس مدينتنا نحن المسيحيون قبل كل الناس وهي القدس العربية وأنا ذاهب لأقول هذه مدينتنا ولدينا صلاحية عليها ولدينا وكالة وشعب ورعية في القدس".
ويرافق الراعي، البابا فرنسيس في زيارته الى الاراضي المقدسة بين 24 و26 ايار الجاري، في اطار جولة ستشمل ايضا الاراضي الفلسطينية والاردن. وهي الزيارة الاولى لبطريرك ماروني الى الاراضي المقدسة منذ العام 1948.
وأضاف الراعي "أنا أذهب إلى بيتي وشعبي ونحن موجودون في حيفا والجليل قبل دخول إسرائيل فهل يمنع علي زيارة شعبي؟ أنا بطريرك مجبور بأن أزور شعبي".
وشرح الراعي أنه يذهب إلى بيت لحم "لأدافع مع الرئيس (الفلسطيني محمود) عباس عن الأرض وأقول لهم أنها أرضكم ولكم الحق بالمحافظة عليها".
وإذ استنكر الراعي أكثر من مرة كيف أن هناك خلافا حول موافقه كلما ذهب إلى الخارج "لأدافع عن لبنان" مضيفا "أنا أعلم أن لبنان بموقع عداوة مع إسرائيل ولكن لا عمل لي مع إسرائيل وأنا ذاهب إلى شعبي ولا عمل لي مع إسرائيل وقلت أنني لن أقابل أحد إطلاقا" من المسؤولين الإسرائيليين.
وكان واضحا بالقول "مرجعيتي هي سينودس المطارنة الذين انتخبوني وأطلب من اللبنانيين أن يحترموني ولا أطلب من أحد أن يقبل زيارتي من عدمها".
وكرر أكثر من مرة أن "المتضايق والمنزعج من رسالتي أطلب منه عدم المجيء إلى بكركي فهذه هي واجباتي وسأنفذها".
وإذ جدد القول أن "علاقة لي بالشؤون السياسية وانا أتعاطى الشأن الرعوي" سأل الراعي "الرأي العام يريد تحميلي قضية ليست موجودة لدي فكيف اتعامل مع الشعب".
من جهة أخرى طالب الراعي "بانتخاب رئيس للجمهورية قبل 25 أيار وتجنب الفراغ".
وإذ ربط الراعي بين زيارته إلى القدس وعدم السماع منه في قضية انتخاب الرئيس، ختم قائلا "نحن ضد عدم عقد جلسات نيابية" للإنتخاب.
ولبنان في حالة حرب رسميا مع اسرائيل. ولا يمكن لاي لبناني ان يزور اسرائيل تحت طائلة الملاحقة القانونية بتهمة "التعامل مع العدو"، الا ان رجال الدين المسيحيين، وبموجب اتفاق ضمني بين السلطات الدينية والسياسية، يذهبون الى الاراضي المقدسة في اطار مهامهم الروحية مع الرعايا المسيحيين.
يذكر ان المواقف المنتقدة لزيارة الراعي لم تتخط الصحف المقربة من فريق الثامن من آذار والناشطين في حملة مقاطعة إسرائيل.

Never heard of any non-lebanese christian who cares about al-rahi and consider him his or any other lebanese batrak as his spiritual leader. They all have their own priests that they consider their leaders. Nobody is expecting anything from Al-rahi. Not even many lebanese christians.

It is not weird. Hezbollah=Israel and Israel=Hezbollah. Hezbollah entered the war to save Assad only because the Israeli Army couldn't do so. It wouldn't look good for Assad to have his protectors to the south openly fighting for his survival.

"Before" in the text above is just slightly improper translation, a non-literal translation would be "As Christians we do not have less rights to Jerusalem than anyone else" The expression he used does not indicate that Christians were there before Jews.

Some of you people on this cite, who most likely represent the cross section of the Lebanese communities, have had your freedoms, livelihood, independent thinking and much more hijacked and forced to think in ways that serve your masters' interests and are missing the point. The Israeli/Palestinian conflict should neither be Lebanon's problems, nor anyone of us has the standing to refer to that land as "occupied Palestine" or contemplate who deserves what or more.

If and when the two despicable parties/sides reach a deal, the outcome would determine their faith irrespective what Lebanon or the regional countries say now or have said before. The Lebanese people must stand up, unite and demand the closure of all Palestinian camps and ship them to a country that has money and can better provide them with employment, education, money and future. We in Lebanon have been the most stupid and lied to, since ages.
All year round, Iranians, Syrians, Saudi's, Qataris, VISIT Jerusalem with no problem at all. Muslims and Christians go to the pilgrimage in Jerusalem, and all Palestinians in Lebanon go there at least once a year as Pilgrims. Just check any documentary on Jerusalem, like on Discovery channel and replay it to see. Iranians go there usually with a hand made rug, and sell it in Jerusalem to be able to pay the trip. So they say there is great rugs to be bought there.
We all know that Hassan has a personal problem. His son was sent to infiltrate the Israeli border at night with only a rifle in the 90's. The Israelis had night goggles of course, and shot him dead. It was an enormous mistake, and nobody until today, knows who gave the orders for this operation.
So Hassan is holding a whole country hostage to his feelings, and hatred.
