بري "يحافظ" على العلاقة مع عون: له الرأي الأقوى في اختيار "الرئيس التوافقي"

Read this story in English W460

The difference between present politicians and the ones of the past, is that now they have a laptop; whether they know how to use it is irrelevant, their rhetorics are exactly the same as their predecessors, like in the past they create problems ,manipulate and propagate hatred among people. Waste of time listening to them. I wonder how many generations do we still need, to realize that we have to stop believing and following these insane species.

Kazan, you definitely have a good point, but again, please add this: In the past there were real men, men with a real word, men who did not fear the positions they took, men who did not flip flop no matter what. Today for the most part we have crooks, real crooks, opportunists, arrivistes, scandalously cheap people, cowards, blatant liars,... one look at this picture and you will notice the very embodiment of all lowly values as so aptly represented by Messrs Aoun, Berri and the crap that stands behind them. The year is 2014 and counting on.

“If this parliament, whose term has been extended, agreed to elect Aoun as a president, would he accept the result or reject it?”

Loooooooooool Berri slapped Aoun in the face right there... March 8 is even catching on to Aoun's hypocrisy lmao now it's Hezbollah's turn to say the same thing. Jeddo: stop trying to deceive the people. Knowing that extension was inevitable, you "boycott" to look like you're against it. How can you say you want parliamentary elections as you boycott the presidency?? Everyone knows you wanna keep your seats in parliament just to keep your presidential boycott

nickjames, try to think positivelly, i can assure you it will change your life. Nobody cares, except you, that 'berri slapped Aoun in the face...' berri doesn't have the political power to avoid Aoun, as Aoun doesn't have the political power to avoid berri, both have a popular basis. Now, if you think positivelly, it means that both have differnt agenda to achieve their political targets... No more than that (-:

Is this the real Flamey?? Stockholm Syndrome? Right, like I'm a Palestinian who was besieged during the War of the Camps lmaoooooooooo. Berri is a pretty funny guy actually, that's why I was laughing at what he said. Everyone knows that he hates Aoun, and Berri's rhetorical question about Aoun's fake stance summed up Aoun's hypocrisy

Default-user-icon K (ضيف) 09:16 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

Berri is asking Aoun if he accepts taking an illegitimate tool to do a rightful job. Illegitimate parliament, but still Aoun has the right to be president more than many others.

Berri knows that if General came president he will embox him n never be head of parliament again...General please don't accept either you or no president we had enough of bringing an employee to this post..this is the existence of christians that GMA represents either we exist n share with our Muslim brothers or not...

For those who supports Dr. Jaja, if Dr. Jaja was to have the biggest christian block in Lebanon would he have accepted not to be the president, which is his rights, I think not he would have fought as he is doing right now. GMA is the stronger now like it or not, until next elections!! so stop this mockery for God sake n Long Live the General the God father of freedom !!

berri has to leave the political arena...for good !!!

our constitution should be amended in such a way a candidate for any position should rule for limited number of terms lets say twice only
this way we do not see the face of the same politician for life
and elections should be based on proportionality so each political party will get its true volume hence its true representation in parliament
god bless democracy

Maybe Suq-al-Gharb is not a victory for you splashy considering you prefer to serve the outsiders...but Lebanese consider it one of its finest victories.

Now do tell us what wars your idol Geagea won?

Thumb nickjames 15:12 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

But wait... I thought a murderer is ineligible to become president... a child murderer can never be elected thus Aoun's patriotic boycott, no???

Thumb nickjames 15:22 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

We've had it with compromise candidates???? We've only had one... Do you mean we're tired of army commanders?? In that case Aoun shouldn't be president. And really, what was wrong with Sleiman, because he criticised Hezbollah for their wooden equation??? Sleiman was an honourable man who didn't serve as a puppet for anyone. At least he won a battle as army commander...

Thumb the_roar 16:49 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

Suq-al-Gharb ..look it up when your free from posting on Naharnet James

Thumb nickjames 17:31 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

Aoun did what at Suq al-Gharb??? Are you sure it wasn't the warmonger US with their naval guns?? Or were they shooting empty shells??

Thumb nickjames 18:04 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

I pretend to love the LAF?? I never said I love the LAF, I said the LAF today should be the only military in Lebanon. The civil war-era LAF was nothing more than a Christian militia, just like the Ouwwet. The LAF was virtually non-existent in the first years of the war. Then it was funded, armed, and trained by the West, just like the Ouwwet. And when the US intervened on the LAF's behalf the Shia allied with PSP against the LAF because the LAF was led entirely by Christians (like your general). And just a question: if you really love the LAF, why do you defend Hezbollah?? If you love the LAF, you would be against any militia having arms...

Thumb nickjames 17:32 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

Aoun won at Suq al-Gharb...hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha what a great revision of history. Of course you believe the US Navy was firing blank shells at PSP

Thumb the_roar 17:35 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

I believe? not what I choose to believe...its history!

If you can refute it , go ahead.

Thumb nickjames 18:11 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

Roar, of course you fall for my lie. It wasn't that they were firing "blank shells." I said that to see if you really read your history. What really happened was the ship's gunpowder was remixed. And by the way, that was the USS New Jersey which had arrived after the Battle of Suq al-Gharb. Other US Navy warships were firing artillery. Aoun would have been defeated without the help

Thumb the_roar 18:18 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

dude you need help & fast...You're trying ever so hard to diminish a great victory for the LAF....You can claim the Russians were there as well if you like...history is not on your side, neither are all the LAF who love the General of Generals & know exactly how that battle was won.

but you go ahead & spit on the LAF time after time & then tell us you support the LAF.

Thumb nickjames 18:28 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

Spit on the LAF, as if it isn't being spat on by the terrorist Hezbollah militia that you support. And by the way, who was defending the Christians in the 70s against the Palestinians??? Where was the LAF to prevent the Palestinians from arming themselves in the camps?? If it wasn't for Kataeb and Ahrar resisting, this country would be controlled by the PLO

Thumb the_roar 18:35 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

You live in the M14 bubble of deception ...If HA wanted to spit on the LAF, its not waiting for you to accuse it...It could take Lebanon in an afternoon.

In fact HA supports the LAF in a way the LAF has never seen or could ever have imagined...until you M14ers understand this, then Lebanon shall remain a haven for outsiders.

Thumb nickjames 19:03 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

Lmaooooooooooo Hezbollah supports the LAF hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha right Roar, Hezbollah shares its Fajr and Zelzal rockets with the LAF, Hezbollah put LAF soldiers through rigorous training in Iran, Hezbollah donates some of its drug money to the LAF, Hezbollah helped the LAF at Qusayr last year, Hezbollah helped the LAF protect Shia villages and shrines in Syria, Hezbollah coordinated with the LAF before assassinating numerous politicians...

"Supports the LAF" ???? Tell me, how does a militia "support" an army?? Usually it's the other way around: an army supports a militia...

If they wanna spit on the LAF???? Hahahahahaha so it's just a decision they have to make. Nasrallah and Qassem get into many arguments about this. Qassem wants to spit on the LAF, Nasrallah says no khaye ba3den... hahahahahahahahahah oh Roar...

M11 we're talking about the Battle of Suq al-Gharb in 1983...

Thumb nickjames 18:21 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

I love debating people who think that the LAF during the civil war was a real army and not another Christian militia supported by the West. I love debating people who think Michel Aoun won at Suq al-Gharb in 1983 entirely by himself. I love debating people who fall for my lie that the USS New Jersey was firing blank shells at the Battle of Suq al-Gharb (when it didn't deploy until after the battle had ended)

Thumb the_roar 18:23 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

Thumb nickjames 18:34 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

Right, just keep supporting your Christian LAF that was as much of a Western puppet as the Ouwwet. Keep loving your general who destroyed Achrafieh just to get the Ouwwet to submit to his command, when he could have gone after Muslim militias instead. Keep loving your senile general who can't even do one interview or press conference without contradicting himself at least three times.

Thumb the_roar 18:37 ,2014 تشرين الثاني 18

Thankyou James, I shall continue to support the General of Generals.

was there anything else you wish for?
