روكز خلال وقفة "تضامنية" من ساحة الشهداء: ترقيت منذ ساعات إلى رتبة مواطن

شارك العميد شامل روكز في الوقفة التضامنية معه في ساحة الشهداء الخميس ، التي جاءت بعد تقاعده وتعيين ماورن القبياتي قائدا لفوج المغاوير مكانه.
وألقى روكز كلمة أمام مشاركين ومحبين له "أنا شامل روكز ضابط مغوار في الجيش ترقيت منذ ساعات إلى رتبة مواطن، سأبقى في رحم مؤسسة الجيش من خلال التزامي".
وقال "تستحضرني في هذه اللحظات ذكرى الشهداء وأهاليهم، وأقول لهم أنتم القضية والأساس، ولن يكون جيشنا في أي وقت غير جيش للشعب".
وخلص روكز الى القول "لن أتقاعد لأن النضال وحب الوطن لا يقف عند بزة أو منصب أو وظيفة، وسأكون دائما كما عرفتموني، وبيننا سيكون أكثر من لقاء".
والخميس تقاعد العميد روكز صهر رئيس تكتل "التغيير والاصلاح" النائب ميشال عون الذي لطالما طالب بتعيينه قائدا للجيش مكان العماد جان قهوجي الممدة ولايته.
وبانتهاء ولاية روكز تكون المبادرة حول الترقيات العسكرية قد فشلت.
وكانت المبادرة تقوم على اقتراح ترقية ثلاثة عمداء من الجيش الى رتبة ألوية الا أنها فشلت بعد معارضة بعض وزراء و اللقاء التشاوري الذي يضم الرئيس السابق ميشال سليمان ووزير الدفاع سمير مقبل الذي لم يوقع على الاقتراح.

I see that the popularity of Roukoz is annoying many people here, the same people who backed him up when he was in the army and led the battle of Arsal and many others... This rally is just to launch his political carreer, and it launched it big time. Many other generals also , had a political carreer like Ashraf Rifi for example , not to mention Michel Suleiman. So dont blame the guy for wanting to go into politics to serve his country as he said.
Give him some time and the benefit of the doubt, and judge him on his actions in this new role and not on his family ties . I think we all agree that Lebanon needs charismatic and most important patriotic, transparent leaders, so let's see. Besides wouldnt u be happy if all what he will do is just moving Bassil away ! :)
