برر رئيس الوزراء التركي احمد داود اوغلو قرار القوات المسلحة الثلاثاء اسقاط طائرة عسكرية روسية تقول انقرة انها انتهكت المجال الجوي للبلاد، مؤكدا ان من "واجب" تركيا القيام بكل ما بوسعها لحماية حدودها.
وقال داود اوغلو "يجب ان يعلم الجميع ان من حقنا المعترف به دوليا ومن واجبنا الوطني اتخاذ جميع التدابير اللازمة ضد كل من ينتهك مجالنا الجوي او حدودنا".
واضاف في كلمة القاها في اليوم الوطني للمدرسين ان "امتنا الموقرة يجب ان تعرف اننا لن نتردد لحظة، في اتخاذ التدابير الضرورية".
بدوره،رأى الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين الثلاثاء ان قرار تركيا اسقاط مقاتلة روسية قرب الحدود السورية سيخلف "عواقب خطيرة" على العلاقات بين البلدين واصفا ذلك بانه "طعنة في الظهر".
وقال خلال لقاء في سوتشي (جنوب روسيا) مع العاهل الاردني الملك عبد الله الثاني "بالتاكيد سنحلل كل ما جرى. والاحداث المأساوية التي وقعت اليوم ستخلف عواقب خطيرة على العلاقات الروسية-التركية".
من جانب اخر اكد بوتين ان المقاتلة الروسية "سوخوي-24" التي اسقطها الطيران التركي قرب الحدود السورية لم تكن تهدد تركيا ، مشيرا الى انها اصيبت في الاراضي السورية على بعد كيلومتر من الحدود التركية.
وأوضح "طائرتنا وطيارونا لم يكونوا يشكلوا اي تهديد لتركيا" مضيفا ان المقاتلة تحطمت على بعد اربعة كلم من الحدود.
واسقط الطيران الحربي التركي صباح الثلاثاء قاذفة روسية من طراز سوخوي 24 شاركت في العمليات الى جانب قوات نظام دمشق شمال اللاذقية، في أقصى شمال غرب سوريا، قرب الحدود التركية.
واكدت أنقرة ان الطائرة انتهكت مجالها الجوي وتم تحذيرها مرارا لكن موسكو نفت ذلك بشكل قاطع مشيرة الى ان الطائرة اصيبت في الاراضي السورية على بعد كيلومتر من الحدود التركية.
والحادث هو الاخطر بين تركيا وروسيا منذ بداية التدخل العسكري الروسي دعما للرئيس السوري بشار الاسد قبل نحو شهرين.

Just to clarify, the Su-24 is a strategic bomber and does not carry any air-to-air weapons. They usually fly their missions with fighter escorts for protection. In this case, since ISIS doesn't have an air force, they probably were conducting raids without fighter escorts so it became an easy target for the Turkish F-16. So I can understand why Putin calls it backstabbing.

Now every troll becomes a military expert. A simple wikipedia search will tell you the SU 24 is "all-weather attack aircraft/interdictor " and "and provision for the latest guided weapons, including R-73 (AA-11 'Archer') air-to-air missiles."
