بري: مصالحة معراب ليست كافية في موضوع الاستحقاق الرئاسي

رد رئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري على أسئلة زواره عن موقفه من ترشيح رئيس حزب القوات اللبنانية سمير جعجع للنائب ميشال عون لرئاسة الجمهورية بالقول: «من المفترض أن أكوّن الرأي الأخير وليس لي أن أقول الموقف الأول. أنا في انتظار استجماع المواقف والمعطيات كي أكوّن موقفي كرئيس للمجلس». وأضاف بري: «كحركة أمل سأجتمع بهيئة الرئاسة والمكتب السياسي عندما تتوافر لدي المعطيات لاتخاذ الموقف المناسب».
وعن المصالحة بين القوات والتيار الوطني الحر، قال برّي «ما جرى يؤكد نظريتي أن ليس بين اللبنانيين عداوات بل خصومات، ولعلّ خصومة عون ــ جعجع الأكثر تباعداً. من هنا، فإن ما حصل بينهما خطوة متقدّمة في الساحة المسيحية تريح البلد وأمر إيجابي، لكنها ليست كافية في موضوع الاستحقاق الرئاسي».

The next session for parliament to elect a president is on February 8. But it is not yet clear whether Lebanon will have a head of state on that date and if Aoun can garner enough votes to be elected..........
Expected from Assad's boot licker. What a joke, he keeps on stomping on the constituion as he pleases. Convening and confidential voting is done during the election session. Berri wants to maneuver and circumvent until he assured Assad's candidate will win before he will convene the Parliament.
