رأى رئيس "كتلة الكتائب" النائب ايلي ماروني أن "معارك عرسال كان يجب أن تتم بقيادة الجيش اللبناني"، منتقدا دور الدولة في المعركة.
وسأل ماروني "لماذا يتم التفاوض مع جبهة فتح الشام علما أن حزب الله أعلن عبر إعلامه الحربي أنها جبهة منهزمة؟
كيف يتم التفاوض عسكريا مع المنهزم؟".
واعتبر أن "كل هذه التساؤلات تحتاج إلى إيضاح، حيث أن الدولة اللبنانية كانت غائبة عن معركة جرود عرسال، بعد أن كان قرار الحرب والسلم بيد حزب الله وليس بيد الدولة، كما ان الجيش اللبناني لم يكن صاحب القرار في المعركة، ولاسيما أن بيانات المعركة كانت تصدر باسم الإعلام الحربي التابع لحزب الله".
وأكد ماروني "ضرورة أن تهيمن الدولة اللبنانية على قرار السلم والحرب في لبنان وأن يكون الجيش اللبناني هو قائد المعركة، حيث أن كل لبنان سيقف إلى جانب الجيش عندما يكون هو قائد المعركة"، موضحا أن "معركة جرود راس بعلبك والقاع ضد تنظيم الدولة هي معركة صعبة نظرا لامتدادات التنظيم في الداخل اللبناني".

I am full aware that you want the LAF to be the only ones fighting, so that they can be slaughtered by Israel and the Salafis.
Well think again, if our men can see the Army suffering and they call for aid. Then the Resistance will step in and support their Lebanese Army brothers against your Salafi groups.
I have family members in the LAF ranks stationed in Bekaa.
I care more about them and their safety, than your God forsaken salafi demands.

Nusra (AlQaeda) and IS (AlQaeda Extreme) has no place in Lebanon. I don't care which Lebanese party pushed out, they have to be pushed out. There should be zero foreign people with arms on our land. I don't always agree with Hizballah, but that is internal Lebanese political debate that will go on. I would respect anyone's opinion as long as they respect mine

if you do not want anybody to occupy your land, then do not occupy anybody's land. Your hezbollah is not an internal lebanese problem simply because it is not a lebanese party.
