بريطانيا تؤكد دعمها للجيش: يشكل الحجر الاساس لسيادة لبنان

أكدت بريطانيا دعمها للجيش باعتباره "المدافع الشرعي الوحيد عن لبنان".
وقال القائم بالأعمال البريطاني بن واستنيج بعد اجتماعه مع رئيس الحكومة سعد الحريري "لقد تشرفت بمقابلة رئيس الوزراء الحريري وهو يدير حكومته خلال هذا الوقت المهم جدا للبنان".
وأكد واستينج "دعم المملكة المتحدة للجيش اللبناني باعتباره المدافع الشرعي الوحيد عن لبنان، وهو الوحيد الذي نجح وبمفرده في صد غزو داعش في العام 2014، والذي يشكل حجر الاساس للسيادة اللبنانية".
ورحب القائم بالاعمال على وجه الخصوص بانعقاد المجلس الاعلى للدفاع وبدعم رئيس الوزراء لقائد الجيش.

My boyfriend The Mystic always told me that he wished that all the countries helping the Lebanese army today would have helped in 2006, just like The Resistance helped the LAF in 2007 when it was fighting Fateh al Islam. He tells me the in 2007 The Resistance did not even hand over any of it's weapons to the Lebanese Army when the LAF was running low on ammo, complained when the Americans gave the LAF arms and ammo, so why should it now????!!!!!.
