I want Nasrallah Sfeir... not Bechara Nasrallah...

Most people forget that in 1993 Hizballah asked Patriarch Sfeir if he would be wiling to organize a committee tasked with opening a dialogue between Bkirki and the party. Patriarch Sfeir was very happy to agree and between 1993 and 2006 that committee met regularly. Then in 2006 Hizballah single handedly and abruptly decided to halt the meetings. I wasn't that Patriarch Sfeir had all of a sudden changed his speech but by 2006 Hizballah had Aoun a paid employee giving them the semblance of open mindedness so they did not need the church anymore. After Patriarch Raii's Paris speech Hizballah decided to resurrect that idea of the committee but as Patriarch Raii will soon learn they will break it off as soon as he says something they don't like. At least today they seem to have let him and his crew show their crosses, they were in Bkirki after all.

Tell them to pay their electricity bill. They are bankrupting the country. How much of the debt is from Shia electricity plus interest.

thepatriot, what you want is a Sunni Christian as a Patriarch. Go speak with your Mufti in Saudi Arabia.

"dialogue between blirki and hizballah"....! Is hizballah now a "religion" on its own? what is happening here........soon will see dialogue between bkirki and the social baath party, the SSNP, the communist party. What is al rahi doing?

Al Rahi is deviating from the traditional role of the church by holding dialogue with political armed groups, which in turn opens him to "political" criticism. That is not the church's role, but rather the role of politicians..........
