"اللبناني - الكندي" من جديد مع وصول موفد أميركي الاسبوع المقبل الى لبنان

يزور نائب وزيرة الخارجية الاميركية لشؤون الارهاب والاستخبارات المالية ديفيد كوهين، لبنان لمراجعة ملف العقوبات الدولية المالية على سوريا وايران والتزام لبنان حيالها فضلاً عن تصفية ملف البنك اللبناني - الكندي.
ووفق صحيفة "النهار" فإن كوهين سيقوم مطلع الاسبوع المقبل بزيارة لبيروت لعقد جولة محادثات مع المسؤولين الكبار وحاكم مصرف لبنان رياض سلامة وربما ايضا جمعية مصارف لبنان، عقب أزمة البنك اللبناني الكندي.
وكانت قد أعلنت السلطات الأميركية ، في كانون الاول، أنها تقدمت بدعوى مدنية بحق مؤسسات مالية لبنانية متهمة بالمساعدة على تبييض 483 مليون دولار لحساب حزب الله عبر الولايات المتحدة وأفريقيا في عمليات مرتبطة بتجارة المخدرات.
وتستهدف هذه الدعوى خصوصاً البنك اللبناني الكندي وشركتين ماليتين مقرهما في لبنان هما "حسان عياش للصيرفة" و"اليسا هولدينغ".
وافادت "النهار"، انه وعلى الرغم من تكتم المراجع المعنية على زيارة كوهين واهدافها، فهم أنه سيراجع مع الجانب اللبناني ما يعني بلاده في موضوع العقوبات الدولية المالية على سوريا وايران والتزام لبنان حيالها فضلاً عن تصفية ذيول ملف البنك اللبناني - الكندي.
وكانت قد اقرت لجنة الشؤون الخارجية في مجلس النواب الاميركي عقوبات مالية على النظام السوري تطال القطاع النفطي وقطاع الطاقة ايضاً.
ووفق ما نشرته صحيفة "الاخبار" أمس الخميس فإن أن لبنان سيواجه حملة ضغوط أميركية غير مسبوقة، تتمحورحول الواقع السياسي اللبناني لعزل "حزب الله" سياسياً، ومواجهة منطق تحالفه مع سوريا. الى جانب تشديد الضغط على الجيش لإجباره على التموضع عسكرياً على الحدود الشمالية وتقديم تسهيلات الدعم للمعارضة السورية.
والضغط الثالث هو بإعادة فتح ملف البنك اللبناني الكندي، مع ربطه هذه المرة بامتناع الدولة اللبنانية عن الرد على الأسئلة الأميركية عن مصير حساباته وهوية أصحابها وأين ذهبت، وعن دوره في تسرب أموال النظام السوري وأموال إيرانية إلى القطاع المصرفي اللبناني بصورة غير قانونية، وفق "الاخبار".
وأصدرت الخارجية الاميركية أمس الخميس بيانا حيت فيه اللبنانيين في الذكرى السابعة لـ"ثورة الارز" واعتبرت أن "الشعب اللبناني دمر في العام 2005 وقبل وقت طويل من الحوادث الدرامية (في المنطقة) الاسطورة القائلة بأن الطريقة الوحيدة لتحقيق التغيير في المنطقة هي عبر العنف والنزاع".
ولاحظ البيان ان "الشعب اللبناني لا يزال يواجه التحديات حيث تسعى فئات مدعومة من الخارج الى اعادة عقارب الساعة الى الوراء، كما ان العنف الوحشي الذي اطلقه نظام (الرئيس السوري بشار) الاسد ضد شعبه يهدد بخلق الاضطرابات في المنطقة بما فيها لبنان".
واكد ان واشنطن تؤيد "جهود قادة لبنان في صون الامن والتحضير لليوم الذي تبدأ فيه حكومة ديموقراطية في دمشق حقبة جديدة في العلاقات اللبنانية - السورية".

They tried to overthrow Syrian regime from inside, they saw the replacement to come could be extremely worse their withdrawal tactics now comes the sanctions pressures as their last bullet...I believe that after Lebanon, Syria is the closest country to democracy compared to all other Arab countries.

Sophia, there's nothing democratic about Syria. But why do we think that western style democracy is always the best form of government? Look at Lebanon. I think that Lebanon needs a decentralized government with a strong secular military dictatorship that rotates leaders every 10 years, with individual liberties and freedoms protected under a well thought out constitution. Leave the democratic voting to local municipality elections.

ive always thought that.. good one bro.. im from sydney. voting needsd to be governorate or qada based for local governments or municipalities.. why don`t we enforce that, its written in the taef agreement maybe the southern municipalities wont be able to rake in the lbp....coz they seem lke the central governemnt will desperse taxes according to which area pay the most taxes to the lebanese nation.. i believe if we had mini states with a police force only in each state no claimsof independence and freedom of movement for all lebanese citizens i truly believe it will be a success.. the old system thats seen countless wars political crisis after political crises its time for decentralisation and a fedral system

ado.australia. i totally agree with you on democracy. it seems taboo to reconsider the western model of democracy where lobbying power and campaign money determine "free people's will". but i think that a strong secular dictatorship in leb should rotate every 5-6 years to avoid the natural corruption of power and the erosion of innovative and reformist spirit of rulers

Yes we should admire the Jews. They are a model of unity and strength. But the Zionist movement which most jews support, is a movement of racism(because they believe Jews are a race) and fascism. Lol at aris. Jews of today are not the ancient israelites. And hebrew was re-introduced in 1948 as a language for people with jewish faith regardless of ethnic roots, before that only rabbis learned hebrew, in the same way, pakistani, malaysian, turkish and other non arab muslims learn arabic for a religious purpose, it doeant mean they become arabs. now the time has come to cut the lebanese finger of syria and iran.. the pressure will be directed principally to sleiman and mikati through the financial sector( lebanese canadian bank as an ex) and finally to the lebanese army by the way of the lebanese syrian border.
N.B.being jewish or yankee or zimbabewan, is the same for the purpose of the visit, just adjust ur brain to the way u can avoid the pressure, if u can.
