تقارير: لبنان يستعيد 530 كلم2 من منطقته الاقتصادية الخالصة

تمكن لبنان من تثبيت سيادته على 530 كيلومتراً مربعاً من منطقته الاقتصادية الخالصة من أصل 860 هي موضع تنازع مع إسرائيل، بعدما استطاع انتزاع اعتراف من الولايات المتحدة والامم المتحدة بحقه في هذه المساحة من بحره.
وأفادت صحيفة "السفير" صباح الأربعاء أنه "ونتيجة الجهود التي بذلت خلال الفترة الأخيرة على أكثر من مستوى سياسي وديبلوماسي تمكّن لبنان من تثبيت سيادته على 530 كيلومتراً مربعاً من أصل 860".
الى ذلك، قال رئيس مدلس النواب نبيه بري لـ"السفير" إنه يجب تسريع وتيرة التحضيرات لإطلاق ورشة التنقيب عن النفط، ملاحظاً انه، "وفيما تستمر إسرائيل بالحفر بحثاً عن النفط والغاز، كنا نحن نحفر ببعضنا البعض"، آملاً تصويب البوصلة.
وكان قد عقد الثلاثاء اجتماع في وزارة الخارجية للجنة المختصة بترسيم الحدود البحرية برئاسة الوزير عدنان منصور تم خلاله قطع شوط متقدم في اتجاه وضع تصور نهائي ودقيق لحدود لبنان البحرية.
على أن يجري لاحقاً إطلاع قبرص على هذا التصور ليتم إقراره في إطار اتفاق بين البلدين، يلي ذلك تصديق مجلس النواب على الاتفاق، ثم يتم إيداع الامم المتحدة نسخة من هذا الاتفاق.
وحضر الاجتماع وزير الخارجية عدنان منصور واللواء عبد الرحمن شحيتلي ومدير عام وزارة الأشغال ومدير عام وزارة النفط وممثل عن رئاسة الحكومة.
تجدر الإشارة الى أن الاجتماع لم يتطرق لموضوع الآبار الجديدة التي بدأت اسرائيل بحفرها في حيفا بعد اكتشاف احتمال وجود غاز طبيعي في حقل جديد قبالة سواحلها.
ويُشار أيضا الى أن المشكلة تكمن في تثبيت حدود لبنان الدولية البحرية وحقه في ثرواته الطبيعية النفطية والغازية ضمن حدود منطقته الاقتصادية الخالصة، خاصة في ظل التهديد الإسرائيلي الدائم لحقوق لبنان النفطية جراء خطأ في الترسيم البحري ما بين قبرص وإسرائيل الذي جاء على حساب لبنان ويهدد بتضييع مساحة بحرية على لبنان تزيد عن 850 كيلومتراً مربعاً.

They haven't started exploration because they still didn't decide who's going to steal what and who's son or relative is going to win which goverment tender.
With no natural resources and our politicians are sucking Lebanon's economy dry imagine what's going to happen if they find oil. The 1% rich will get richer and the 99% will get poorer.

Lebanon can't even produce enough electricity for one of the smallest populations in the world, this oil will remain where it is for the next 50 years while politicians/warlords argue.

This is to show that you can reach your goals, retain your rights with knowledge and using international law.

I have not been able to figure out why oil exploration has not started yet when the country is literally moving toward bankrupthy. The current debt ($52.5 billions)and debt to GPD ratio 133%. Simpy put this is crazy!!

jehha told kids so he can get rid of them that there is a man on mountain givig away candy. So they all ran up th maountain. Soon, he was runnung too. his friend screams: What are you doing/ gehha said: What if they were right? There is not a single proof there is oil. maybe some gas that may be too expensive to explore.
