اعتصام في بيروت احتجاجا على "فحوص مذلة" للاعضاء الجنسية للمثليين

نفذ عشرات الاشخاص السبت اعتصاما قرب قصر العدل في بيروت احتجاجا على فحوص طبية للاعضاء الجنسية تحصل خلال التحقيق مع أشخاص يشتبه بأنهم مثليون، وهو أمر يعاقب عليه القانون اللبناني.
وجاء هذا التحرك بعد القاء القبض في 28 تموز على مجموعة من الاشخاص في قاعة للسينما خاصة بالمثليين في احدى ضواحي بيروت. وأجبر هؤلاء على الخضوع لفحوص شرجية للتثبت من مثليتهم.
وحصلت على الاثر حملة اعلامية واسعة تدين هذا التصرف في مراكز التوقيف، معتبرة أنه "مذل ويمس بحقوق الانسان".
ودعت الى الاعتصام اليوم جمعية "حلم" التي تدافع عن حقوق المثليين والمثليات، وهي فريدة من نوعها في العالم العربي. وجاء الاعتصام تحت شعار "معا لالغاء فحوصات العار".
وندد المعتصمون كذلك بالفحوص التي تجرى للتثبت من العذرية لدى الموقوفات في ما يعرف بـ"جرائم الشرف".
وقال أحد المتظاهرين جورج قزي: "نريد اعلانا واضحا من وزير العدل يؤكد فيه منع هذا النوع من الفحوص واخضاع من يقوم به للعقاب".
وأشارت الى أن "نقابة الاطباء أعلنت أن لا قيمة علمية لهذه الفحوص، وان قيام الاطباء بها امر غير قانوني. ورغم ذلك، تستمر القوى الامنية في فرضها".
وحمل المتظاهرون لافتات نددوا فيها بما اسموه "الاغتصاب الشرعي". وكتبت على لافتات اخرى "المثلية ليست جريمة"، و"الفحص الشرجي لاثبات المثلية مخالف لحقوق الانسان".
وينص قانون العقوبات اللبناني على عقوبة تصل الى السجن لمدة سنة في حال القيام بـ"علاقات جنسية منافية للطبيعة".

Shameful law introduced by the french mandate. Since then, to respect human rights, the French have moved on beyond homophobia into allowing gay marriage. And we are still stuck in middle ages, in good company with Egypt and Pakistan. Our laws actually INSTITUTIONALIZE the medical rape of people to determine if they are gay or not!!! Why the f... is it the affair of the police if one is gay or not? Let them go after the kidnappers and the tire burners instead of raping our honest citizens because they are different. SHAME on the politicians who dont call for changing these medieval laws.

In the ARAB country? Who is writing Naharnets articles? That is clearly the wording for somebody from Europe or US. It´s a same if a Lebanese newspaper cant write articles about Lebanon by themselves.

AFP is an international news agency with desks all over teh world. Its lebanon desk got this story, fed it to AFP who distributed it to nowlebanon, lorientlejour, naharnet, and other news portals. That is globalization my friend...:-)

Lebanon has not been ruled by the French for a long time, so stop blaming others for Lebanon's absurd laws. Besides, Islamic law prohibits homosexuality. Or are you going to say the French introduced Islam too?
