Whether you decide to resign or not is immaterial honorable PM. It is how HA final reaction is that matters. The choice for them is either remain lackeys and beholden to Iran and hence Syria or opting to put the good of Lebanon above other considerations. It remains to be seen.

why should the gvt resign? let them rule the country as long as they want and we ll see where they ll lead it... let them show how competent they are...and if the life of the citizens would improve!

There is really no need for the government to step down. Indeed M8 took power by force, but bringing the government down by street action is not precisely democratic and civilized. Two wrongs do not make a right. However what the government should do is lift the cover over those committing crimes. Hassan Nasrallah should be brought in for questioning because his party either committed this crime, or for sure he has material knowledge of who did it. Hizbullah are suspects in so many crimes that even circumstantial evidence is enough to arrest Nasrallah and keep him 72 hours for questioning.
