A law to protect women against domestic violence is long overdue. The problem is that with government institutions in such a shamble, will enforcement of such a law be a priority. It all comes down to the willingness and ability of Lebanese to work out a compromise to their crisis and truly build the institutions of government. Until the Hizb comes to accept that the state should have a monopoly on arms, I am afraid lebanon will continue to limp from one crisis to another.

Everybody please save yourselves some heartache, realize that you cannot ask anything from this so called government, it is an institution that has become more concerned in preserving the current balance of power and itself rather than being concerned with the well being and livelihood of the people... The government has forgotten that it exists to serve the people and not the other way around... There are upcoming elections and that should be an opportunity for all the Lebanese people to throw out all the unwanted garbage, alas that wold not happen since at the end of the day we will have to choose between the lesser of two evils and not the best for Lebanon

But its in your religion that Woman can be assaulted by their husband as long as they dont leave a mark, for crying out loud you say you want to be a muslim but cant live your life as one because its just humanly impossible.

It is permissible by a certain religion. Those who support stopping domestic abuse against woman are infidel apostates, just like those who support civil marriage!
