اوباما يصل الى ستوكهولم لبحث الملف السوري

وصل الرئيس الاميركي باراك اوباما الاربعاء الى ستوكهولم المحطة الاولى في جولة تستغرق ثلاثة ايام في اوروبا سيحاول خلالها الحصول على المزيد من التاييد لسياسته المتعلقة بسوريا.
وكان في استقبال اوباما سفير الولايات المتحدة في السويد مارك برزينسكي واعضاء من الحكومة السويدية بينهم نائب رئيس الوزراء يان بيوركلوند.
وغادر الموكب مطار ستوكهولم-ارلاندا بعد دقائق على وصول الرئيس الاميركي متوجها الى العاصمة السويدية حيث سيلتقي اوباما رئيس الوزراء السويدي فريدريك راينفلت على ان يعقدا مؤتمرا صحافيا بعد ذلك.
وستطغى الازمة السورية وموضوع التبادل الحر على النقاشات. وقال وزير الخارجية السويدي كارل بيلد "نامل في ان يتمكن مجلس الامن من الاتحاد حول هذه النقطة".
وبعد المؤتمر الصحافي المشترك، سيقوم اوباما بتكريم ذكرى راوول والنبرغ الدبلوماسي السويدي الذي انقذ عشرات الاف اليهود المجريين عام 1944 و1945، وذلك بمناسبة زيارة الى كنيس ستوكهولم.
ويزور بعدها المعهد الملكي للتكنولوجيا حيث سيناقش "الابتكارات السويدية في مجال الطاقة الخضراء والبيئة".
وفي المساء يتناول اوباما العشاء مع الرئيس الفنلندي ساولي نينيستو ورؤساء وزراء النروج ينس ستولتنبرغ والدنمارك هيلي ثورنينغ شميت وايسلندا سيغموندور ديفيد غونلاوغسون، بدعوة من رئيس الوزراء السويدي.
وصباح الخميس يلتقي اوباما الزوجين الملكيين قبل ان يغادر الى سان بطرسبرغ حيث تعقد قمة مجموعة العشرين. ومن المرتقب ان يعقد في سان بطرسبرغ لقاءين ثنائيين مع نظيريه الفرنسي فرنسوا هولاند والصيني شي جينبينغ.

Wasn't that already provided by Bandar on his last meeting with Putin? That's pretty much what Russia wants; a monopoly in the Caucasus and Europe in general regarding oil/gas. Al-Assad protected that interest quite strongly; how would Bandar safeguard his vow though? Oh also, keeping terrorism low on Russia's borders.

instead putin gave orders to massively bombard saudi in case of an attack on syria. that was the day the US announced strikes on syria, and that's why they have been backpedaling since.

Putin is a real man of " Men " !!
He needs no authorisation from anyone !
He has a plan & consequently will stick to it !
He is unenthusiastic about what is occurring in the states !
His mind is made up regardless of the outcome from the US senate committee or the congress !
The plan has been laid out , an agreement has been reached ! But if the US cross it then god bless America & its allies ( KSA , GCC , Israel & Turkey ! )

Russia cannot and will not impose a red line. On the contrary Russia's military is in shambles and certainly not a match for the US fire power.
Basically what Putin is doing is simply barking with no teeth to bite. When the US will attack Syria's Bashar, take my word Putin shall continue to bark and with no concrete military action from his part.

It is clear by now that any strike against Bashar's forces will not be limited to punitive strikes as a result of chemical weapons use, but such strikes carry a broader plan to tip the military balance and provide a military boost to the rebellion and I hope such broader plan includes a strike against HA so as to strengthen Lebanese state institutions and enable the Lebanese state to have the monopoly of arms in the country and eliminate the state within the state currently in existence. One problem though, we need an effective government in place to handle such task so our corrupt and worthless politicians need to reach an agreement for a government.
Here we go again another opportunity to strengthen the Lebanese start and hopefully we won't let it slip out of our hands

Its planes and rocket systems are reaching for being the best; they've come a long way since 20 years ago. Same goes for everything else.
Do you know how much active and reserve military personnel the US has? Some 2 million. Russia has 2 million in reserves alone and some million on active duty. Not to mention china also has some 3 million. Not about numbers though really; the US military is the strongest indeed, but it's not to say Russia with a little help from here and there can't become a worthy opponent. Your denigration of Russian military assets is uncalled for and wrong also.
