Hizbullah MPs Call for 'Serious' Dialogue, Say Tuesday's Bombs Fail in Changing Political Strategies

إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية W460

Hizbullah stated on Thursday that those behind the deadly attack in the Beirut neighborhood of Bir Hassan will not succeed in changing adopted political policies, calling also for a “serious” national dialogue.

"Those that are experts in these barbarous acts will not succeed in changing political policies adopted locally and regionally,” MP Hassan Fadlallah stated after Loyalty to Resistance bloc's meeting.

He added: “The attacks reveal the identity of its orchestrator that is offering Zionists great services.”

On the ever of Independence Day, the Hizbullah MP called for a “serious” dialogue to take place between the Lebanese, to “build a strong state ruled by the law and governed by institutions.”

"We want to build a state that adopts an inclusive defense strategy to defend Lebanon.”

Fadlallah offered his condolences to Iran and its ambassador to Lebanon, following Tuesday's explosions.

"We bow in front of the sacrifices of our people and their poise in front of this dangerous plan.”

I urge the Lebanese to confront these terrorist attacks by strengthening their will powers, instead of adopting a policy of justifications, he added.

At least 23 people were killed and more than 145 others were wounded in a twin blast that took place on Tuesday morning near the Iranian Embassy in the neighborhood of Bir Hassan in Beirut's southern suburbs.

A security official said the first suicide attacker was on a motorcycle that carried two kilograms of explosives. He blew himself up at the large black main gate of the Iranian mission, damaging the three-story facility.

Less than two minutes later, the second suicide attacker driving a car rigged with 50 kilograms of explosives struck about 10 meters away, the official said.

The al-Qaida-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades claimed responsibility for the bombings, according to the Twitter page of a cleric linked to the group.

"The Abdullah Azzam brigades - the Hussein bin Ali cells - are behind the attack on the Iranian embassy in Beirut," Sheikh Sirajeddine Zuraiqat, the group's religious guide, posted on Twitter.

LOL... what is hezbi doing by justifying their inolvement in syria despite the president's call for disassociation? isn't it a policy of justification? wahaha!

"We want to build a state that adopts an inclusive defense strategy to defend Lebanon.”
in other words: we do not want to obey the state but the state to obey us...

“The attacks reveal the identity of its orchestrator that is offering Zionists great services.”
just like YOU by dividing lebanese society and threatening it with your weapons....

Missing peace 21 November 2013, 17:50

LOL southern... what kind of dialogue you are talking about? dialogue hezbi style? = we can dialogue on everything except our arsenal? we can dialogue on every thing but not our obedience to the state by giving them our weapons?

it is not a dialogue they want but rather the others to accept their weapons.... LOL

How about you start respecting the law before bullshitting people ...

And what is Hezbollah expert at ? I see you giving cotton candy in Syria and building luna parks and schools for children ?

Are you less barbarous than these terrorists ? You come from the same schools, use the same tactics and are as much criminals and barbarians as those who bombed you.

The only difference maybe is that you fight for NO cause. You fight on the orders of your Iranian terrorist leader Ayatollah BSeinih !

but hezbis believe they are the only ones entitled to have arms, that is their main problem....
in NO country do we find arms outside a gvt's control... but hezbis believe they are superior and their arrogance will lead them to their fall... it is just a matter of time as now they cannot go backwards and will only be more and more arrogant.....

Sorry all my friends M14ers. Here I beleive that Mustakbal and geagea are wrong in refusing dialogue. Even though HA wont stand with his promises, even though its agenda is foreign, we should do a dialogue.

True I dont like HA's involvment in syria. But the well being of lebanon is more important than HA's external adventures. This, the exiled leader saad does not see.

As for the weapons. What about keeping weapons of HA- for now, but removing weapons of SSNP and the palestinians and other junk? what about securing syria border?
there are a lot of things we can improve before tackling HA's arsenal. One day, the geopolitics of the region will cause HA to disarm. Meanwhile, let us progress our country instead of singlehandedly try to disarm the strongest faction in lebanon in vain.

Missing peace 21 November 2013, 19:06

progress will only come AFTER hezbis disarm.... everything will then be easy to tackle with... but when a single party tells the gvt what to do, and block it with the threat of their arms if the gvt go against them then no progress can be made...
by letting hezbis armed it ll only encourage others to do so, why allow one party and not the others? till these double standards exist there is no feeling of justice and everyone does as it is pleased because hezbis are allowed to do everything so why not others?

no discussion is possible with a group that does not even listen to its president...

Thumb willy.pete222 21 November 2013, 19:07

you have great ideas. An Aouni in disguise. Yeah, let's remove everybody's weapons and keep HA coz you are afraid of them. When do men make some tough decisions???? What will a new government do for you or I? 9-9-6? So, the cabinet during its first meeting will split and either party will resign and we are back to square one. HA wants cover for its war in Syria. Will dialogue and a new government stop the suicide bombings and retaliatory actions. We are now in an open ended war between Al Qaeda and HA on Lebanese soil. Thank to HA and Aoun who gave them christian cover out of his hate for Sunnis and Harriri. Open your eyes and stop making naive statements.

Let your lying blasphemy of a leader Hassan Kezballah apologize to the Lebanese people and publicly state he's ready to plan the disarmement of Kezballah and then there can be a negociation table.

He needs to apologize for all his crimes, for usurping the name of Lebanese resistance. For fighting in Syria in the name of Lebanese resistance without asking the Lebanese's permission. For bringing war and destruction to Lebanon, for breaking all lebanese laws, for harboring and protectin assassins. for complicity in crimes ... for defending terrorist regimes !

No apology, no dialogue !

An the first people he should apologize to are the Lebanese Shiites who are Hassan Kezballah's first victims !

Thumb lebanon_first 21 November 2013, 21:53

Why wont hariri participate in a government if HA, fighting in syria is in it? HA is fighting Syrians in Syria, not lebanese.
While this is not welcome, it is not a reason to sclerose our country. Our country is worth way more to us than the unfortunate adventures of our chiite brothers in syria.
Is FSA more important than Lebanon for hariri?
why doesnt he repeat daily, like he is doing today, that he is against HA's fight in syria, while putting LEBANON's interests above syria and working with HA's "political arm" in lebanon, trying to find common ground, and beleive me, there is a lot of common ground.

Thumb LEBhasNOhope 21 November 2013, 23:16

Lebanon_first- I believe the bombings that are happening in Lebanon alone is the only reason you need. Participating in a government with HA now legitimizes what they are doing period. the repercussions of that decision are detrimental to the country as a whole. sorry my friend, but you have your priorities all wrong here. If you have LEBANON's interest first, then you must stand by the principles that under no circumstance you are partnering with a militia that clearly has Iran's and Syria's interest above Lebanon and willing work with them a legitimate government of the people. Don't be fooled by rhetoric of military arm vs political arm. they are a militia period. sorry my friend, as much as I like you, I cannot agree with you here at all.

We need education ?

Oh please educate me ... I see how Hezbollah education has created successful businessmen !

I can't believe how stupid your comment is. You sound exactly like a dictator :

- You want to impose an illegal armed party
- You want to impose your weapons
- You want to "educate" the people

Go educate yourself first instead of saying stupidities, only then can you join a roundtable and discuss things with adults instead of playing with guns ...

You have the audacity to talk about education when you fail the education of your own people by creating a flock of ignorant sheep !

PS : israel has more sophisticated weapons than Hezbollah... we saw what that brought them. Weapons are nothing compared to the will of people to live freely ... we will win and prevail !

All what u want to say we know it, you want to build a state but ruled by you, you don't want democracy, you want the veto right on all decisions, by fear that some goverment can take anti hezballa decision, you want to keep your weapons but you are afraid of Israel, you are waiting a moment to try something but this moment will not come, in the mean time you are sacrifying your country, your economy, you are killing syrians, you are forcing all lebanese to live in a deformed country by the never seen logo cha3b jeish mukawama, cha3b is lebanese, jeish is lebanese, but the mukawama is started in Iran , payroll sent by Iran, and composed of only 1 sect, you understand very well that it doesn't belong to lebanon ,even if it includes lebanese people , but their commands come from outside and your boss admit it.

Thumb liefighter 21 November 2013, 20:22

National dialogue can only happen when all parties are on equal footing. A national dialgue is a farce when one party retains the right to resort to force of arms to advance its political agenda if that agenda should fail at the dialogue table.
Therefore, if Hezbollah is serious, it should surrender its arms to the Ministry of Defense, and submit to the authority of the State and its institutions.
For this clown to speak of strengthening the state and its institutions while his party is the very source of the weakeness of these institutions makes him and his party hypocritical and not worthy of serious consideration in proposing a path forward.

Thumb primesuspect 21 November 2013, 22:11

Am I stupid or what! Serious dialogue on what! The president clearly stated what Lebanon should do. Stay away from the Syrian crisis; all parties should be Lebanon before anything else; and then come up with a government that cares for the economy. Anything short of that is just a waste of time. Is HA in agreement even with one of the above? I guess not. then, why is it that they want dialogue and on what if they insist on staying and foghting in Syria thus trashing all the Lebanese and hijacking the political decisions.

Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, this is Afghanistan nr. 2. You will not be dealing with 2 suicide bombers, soon the imperialists and their Safavid murderers will be dealing with a nation of Taliban from the ocean to the sea. Millions and millions of suicide bombers. This nation will never again be subjugated and divided. These borders will not stand. We are a nation that will shake the world, and when this war is over, no Safavid will be left on Arab or Muslim land.
