Report: Surge in Recruitment as Hizbullah Fighters Help Assad

إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية W460

Hizbullah is experiencing a surge in recruitment as it fights alongside Syrian President Bashar Assad's troops in Syria, members of the group have told London's Daily Telegraph.

The newspaper said that two Hizbullah members separately said there had been an increase in the number of men willing to fight in Syria.

"First they need to be given proper training. Only if they are good men do we let them join our ranks," one said, asking not to be named.

"All the men from this area are getting guns and asking to fight in Syria, whether they are already members of Hizbullah or not," said one supporter of the group, who asked not to be named.

"We are in a critical situation and we have to fight for the sake of the Shiites," he said.

The Hizbullah supporter spoke sitting in a cafe in Hermel, the town in the eastern Bekaa valley, which has been hit with three suicide car bombings.

The sectarian divide has grown increasingly explosive in Lebanon, with Sunnis largely backing the rebels in Syria, while Shiites and Hizbullah support Assad's regime.

Sunni militants have carried out more than a dozen bombings against Shiite areas since July, killing dozens and terrifying the country.

The hard-line Sunni groups are seeking revenge against Hizbullah for supporting Assad.

"You step out of your home and you don't know if you are going to live or die. A bomb might kill you when you are on your way to the shop for groceries. Nowhere is safe," Ibrahim, a 67-year-old retired engineer, told the Daily Telegraph.

"We are in a critical situation and we have to fight for the sake of the Shiites," he said.

This summarizes what this fake arrogant sectarian militia is all about. Enough with theatricals about a resistance to defend Lebanon. Here it is cloud and clear. Shame

Many months ago I spoke of what is known as a Quagmire. Now Hezbollah finds itself stuck into the classic quagmire, the Syrian one. Right now heavy fighting is reported in several parts of Syria, the Qalamoun areas as well. So the Syrian regime already stretched to its furthermost limits starts deploying more and more Hezbollah fighters, till Hezbollah also gets stretched to its furthermost limits. Some information has been reaching us that Hezbollah partisans in the diaspora too have begun joining the fight, but thereafter what? How much more can Hezbollah stretch itself? The lessons learned from the Lebanese civil war prove one point and one point only, that the war in Syria will not stop until diplomacy ends it, guns will not. But then, this will not start happening until all the different protagonists in this war reach total exhaustion, until then.

Thumb FlameCatcher 03 March 2014, 14:36

Yalla, may they all go and die in Syria. They have nothing to bring to Lebanon. They don't contribute to building our country and economy.

And to those idiots who claim Hezbollah is fighting for Lebanon, here's a terrorist hezbollah sheep saying : "We are in a critical situation and we have to fight for the sake of the Shiites"

IN YOUR FACE you liars !

Thumb FlameCatcher 03 March 2014, 14:57

If you believe you have common sense, go fight in Syria "for the sake of shiites".

Thumb FlameCatcher 03 March 2014, 15:08

This is the mindset of all Hezbollah followers ! There is no question about that ! And you Aounies are fools to believe otherwise. You believe they are defending Lebanon, You and ME ? BS ! They do not care about the "Rest of us"... We, other Lebanese never asked them to defend us ! So stop defending them already and wake up !

And again, if you believe them, GO FIGHT ! Don't let others do your dirty work while as Popeye says so nicely, you hide behind a keyboard and spread BS and nonsense online !

Thumb cedre 03 March 2014, 20:41

hezbollah's plan is wilayat faqih ya kadab...

Thumb FlameCatcher 03 March 2014, 20:50

Hezbollah's plan is soveignty ? 14 years too late ! We got sovereignty when we kicked Bashar out ! Hezbollah wants to bring him back ! BS

And yes, we want to remove the word resistance because it's is misused and abused !

2- It's not a Lebanese Resistance ! It's a SHIITE RESISTANCE !

This entire party is a lie ! A KEZB ! And nothing you can say can prove otherwise !

Until I see Aounies and Sunnis join the resistance and fight amongst it's ranks, it's a god damn lie !

Thumb Maxx 03 March 2014, 15:19

How's that for a population trade? Lebanese men of fighting age go to Syria to kill each other, and the Syrian refugees who are not of fighting character all come to Lebanon.

Thumb Chupachups 03 March 2014, 15:20

Correct Tex, in West Africa alone, they've 5 offices, Freetown, Monrovia, Ouagadougou, Abidjan and Lagos.

Thumb geha 03 March 2014, 16:12

what you are saying is somehow correct, but there is more:
there are persistent news about preparations being made by hizbushaitan to start a cleansing war on the Palestinians in Lebanon as a favor to Israel and the US, so there are no more Palestinians to go back to Palestine.

Thumb geha 03 March 2014, 18:24

the Syrian regime and hizbushaitan have already destroyed more than half of the yarmouk camp!
now it seems the turn is for the Lebanese camps.

And most important that doesnot give any of them the right to have their own armed millicia and to put the all country stability at stake...

Thumb cedre 03 March 2014, 19:05

tex, u need to know that in iraq there are millions of trained khomeynists available, 2000 just arrived in yabrud. And they're more fanatic and savage than our hizbos. Also how long lebanese sunnis will accept to be slaughtered by HA in lebanon and syria ???

Thumb cedre 03 March 2014, 20:12

tex, the problem is not the shias or the iranians, it's the khomeynists using the shias to establish an iranian hegemony over the gulf, the levant, afghanistan,etc...

Sunnis do not want wars, but we won't bow to khamenei or assad...
Only the west and Israel will benefit from a sunni-shia war.

Reason so many volunteer, is because of all the recent explosions in their homes. These youngsters are sick and tired of their daily lives being runned, and their family members being blown up, so they see it logical, either fight the takfiris in Syria, or they can wait for their own turn to explode.

Thumb Mystic 03 March 2014, 22:30

Takfiris ruined their lives, so the youngsters all want to join in, and avenge their loved once.
