Al-Meqdad clan handed over on Tuesday a third member of the family involved in the murder of a man over the weekend in the Bekaa town of Nahle.

According to Voice of Lebanon radio (93.3) Hussein Kleem al-Meqdad was handed over to the army intelligence on charges of involvement in the murder of Mohammed Shuqair.

The Internal Security Forces said in a communique issued on Monday that members of al-Meqdad family shot Shuqair in the head after intercepting his vehicle on Sunday afternoon.

The statement said that H. and K. al-Meqdad's Mercedes vehicle intercepted Shuqair's Renault Clio car during a car chase then opened fire at him, wounding him in the head.

It said that the third suspect was still at large.

Al-Meqdad clan had deplored the incident in a statement.

lawless sect

Thumb .mowaten. 27 May 2014, 19:01

thank you for proving once again what i have been saying for months: you're a sectarian hater.

Thumb liberty 28 May 2014, 06:04

What you have been saying does not carry any credibility since you are the voice of HA, hatred, and sectarianism on this forum. Now, stop your showboating techniques, you are very obvious.

who gave you the 5 votes so far? ado.australia aka karim?

eagledawn... everyone of that sect is lawless? They handed him in. There is much lawlessness in Lebanon. From both sunni and shiite sects... some are even Maronite catholic, orthodox Christian, Melkite catholic and druze. Vast majority are from the 2 former sects mentioned yes, but your problem and that of many lebanese is that we only see sects and not citizens.

Yes, the bekaa is like the wild west of the usa 100 years ago. So too is tripoli and other impoverished areas with high youth unemployment. This is the problem... high youth unemployment and impoverished areas are easy grounds for crime and gang recruitment... just as it is anywhere else in the world.

Thumb geha 27 May 2014, 15:33

the whole of Lebanon has been impoverished, does that justify terrorist and murderous acts?
how come the highest percentage of murderers and illegal activities are coming from this sect? with all the money that iran is giving away, there should not be an impoverished person in this sect anyway.

Thumb ado.australia 27 May 2014, 18:28

The whole of Lebanon isn't impoverished. Lebanon has a GDP of 42billion and per capita (PPP) of $15,000/ per citizen. That's similar to turkey and better than Serbia. Most of this monies is distributed between 22000 individuals divided equally between Muslims and Christians ("a troubled legacy in Lebanon"Gulf news). However there are areas of Lebanon that this money doesn't touch. Forget about the Palestinians, but in tripoli, beka and Southern Lebanon. Do you remember what they called the southern suburbs in the 70s? They were the belt of misery that came from the south. Being bombed weakly by Israel. Hezbollah is helping them escape from getto poverty but who do they then thank and follow? In tripoli, who is helping them? Some help from Harris and co but not enough. So what happens? These unemployed youth are easy targets for extremist gangs. The same as anywhere in the world were there is high unemployment and a getto mentality.

Replace gangs with sectarian militias and u have Lebanon. If u deny their is a Sunni extremist problem then u deny half the problem in Lebanon.... U can't just blame everything on Hezbollah. You justify every attack on the LAF as the result of Hezbollah?

I don't like saud Hariri.... He is Saudi born and raised. He has never lived a day in his life in Lebanon before his father was killed. He is an mp and hasn't stepped foot in Lebanon since he was disposed from office. But if he comes back and becomes pm with aoun as president and this saves Lebanon from the rubbish tip than I will be happy to see him back for the sake of Lebanon.

Thumb geha 27 May 2014, 18:56

what you call a sunni extremist problem is the creation of hizbushaitan (bakri and the likes) and they are being dealt with :)

what about the large shia extremist problem? the majority of this sect is extremist!

Thumb .mowaten. 27 May 2014, 19:03

ado: thank for saying things as they are.
geha: you're ridiculous, trying to whitewash the extremists on your side by blaming those they are trying to kill.
here is bakri justifying the suicide bombings in dahiyeh (like you btw, isnt that cute how much you two share?)

mowaten
your stupidity has no equal: whatever he said in interviews, he was paid by hizbushaitan to say it. this was his role.
if you do not understand things the way they really are, then it is an additional proof of your stupidity.

Thumb .mowaten. 27 May 2014, 19:53

yea i bet HA has so much money (despite you saying they are broke when it suits you) that they can pay bakri more than saudis to spread hatred against them. what next? was assir also paid by HA?

Hezbollah is not the sole cause of Sunni extremism. Is it hezbollah's fault for al Qaida ? For 9/11? Is Hezbollah the cause of salafism? Was it them that calls for a callifite state from morocco to Greece?
Maybe Hezbollah has encouraged and helped these groups recruit but they are not the cause or the main problem. Those that justify the attacks on the Watan Lebanese army and on innocent civilians in the southern suburbs are the ones at fault!

The LAF and ISF are dealing with them just as they are dealing with the Shiite trouble makers and criminals.

Can we agree to support the LAF 100% in their mission to stop the violence and bring law and order to Lebanon?
