2 Abducted al-Fleiti Family Members Released
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةTwo members from al-Fleiti family, who were abducted in tit-for-tat kidnappings between Sunnis and Shiites, were released by their abductors on Saturday night, the state-run National News Agency reported.
The kidnappers failed however to release several others from al-Hujeiri family who were taken captive in the Bekaa Valley's North.
In recent months, there has been growing tension linked to the war in neighboring Syria.
Jihadists from Syria overran the northeastern border town of Arsal in August, capturing and killing soldiers and policemen.
At least three have been killed by their captors from the al-Qaida linked al-Nusra Front and the extremist Islamic State group.
Two have been beheaded by Islamic State militants, sparking days of violence against Syrian refugees in Lebanon and the tit-for-tat abductions.
The kidnapping of al-Fleiti and al-Hujeiri family members occurred after al-Nusra Front published a video showing one of its members shooting dead the captive soldier Mohammed Hamiyeh.
