The Army carried out raids Monday in the Baalbek district and engaged in a clash with a gang while trying to arrest its members, which left one soldier wounded.

The state-owned National News Agency reported that “the army raided a gang consisted of four fugitives who were hiding at a house for the al-Aouta family in one of northern Baalbek's neighborhoods.”

"After clashes with the fugitives that left one soldier wounded in the leg, the army arrested them,” it added.

The fugitives are “R. Awada, two others from the Awada family and a fourth from al-Jammal family,” the NNA announced.

On Sunday, An Nahar newspaper reported that preparations were underway to launch a state-sponsored security plan in the northern Bekaa region amid fears that influential powers in the area would not cooperate fully with the security forces.

Last week, Interior Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq said that the Central Security Council discussed the measures that will be implemented in the Bekaa to maintain stability, and that an agreement was reached by all the political powers to carry out strict security measures in the region as he refused to reveal the zero-hour for the operation.

we constantly denounced them and keep telling you the drug gangs have nothing to do with hezbollah, and even vice news showed in its report on the bekaa that they are more enemies than they are friends. but you hear only what you want to hear, so what's the point?
