Nine-Year-Old Boy Raped at Akkar School

An unknown person has raped a nine-year-old boy at a school in the northern district of Akkar.
The state-run National News Agency reported Thursday that “Fatima A. M. filed a report at the Halba police department claiming that an unknown person had raped her 9-year-old son Kamel H.”
For its part, al-Jadeed TV said the incident happened at al-Merehbi School in al-Dreib al-Awsat region.
The police department heard the child's testimony in line with the applicable procedures.
Nearly three years ago, Judge Elie Helou issued a verdict in the case of a teacher who was accused of sexually abusing 11 children at St. Joseph School in Aintoura, Northern Metn.
The scandal erupted when reportedly a six-year-old girl at St. Joseph School told her parents about the abuse.
She reportedly said the 22-year-old arts teacher had instructed her “to lift her skirt before pressing himself up against her.”
