Mansour Heads to Cairo: We Will Take Position that Supports Syria

Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour stated on Sunday that Lebanon will not take a position that would harm Syria’s security and stability during the Arab foreign ministers’ meetings scheduled to take place in Cairo later on Sunday.

He added: “Lebanon will take a stand that supports Syria and its efforts to implement reform.”

The minister made his statements from the airport ahead of traveling to Egypt to take part in the conference.

“We hope Arab consensus would be reached over Syria and the region’s higher interests,” Mansour stressed.

In August, Lebanon disavowed itself from a U.N. Security Council statement condemning Syria's crackdown on opposition protests and calling for those responsible to be held "accountable."

Mansour had stated that Lebanon can’t support any resolution that condemns the Syrian regime at the Security Council.

The Arab foreign ministers will meet in Cairo to discuss Syrian President Bashar Assad's crackdown on protests at the request of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The oil-rich Gulf states in the council had called for the emergency Arab meeting to address the mounting bloodshed in Syria as Damascus shows no let-up in its deadly crackdown on protests.

Arab foreign ministers already met in Cairo on September 13 and called on the Syrian authorities to "immediately stop the bloodshed," drawing a testy response from Damascus.

Arab League chief Nabil al-Arabi had met Assad three days earlier and presented him with a 13-point document outlining Arab proposals for reform.

I am a resident in the UAE, for the past six years, and it has now become a fact that Abu Dhabi is not giving new residence visas toany Lebanese who are coming now to the country same for Sharjah and other emirates as well.
Only Dubai is giving very few visas and under special occasions.

Is this what we want?

What this puppet says does not reflect the will of the Lebanese people but rather the views and will of a Shiite party to whom he belongs. It is a shame our foreign policy is dictated by people like Nabih Berri and Nassrallah!

How many times the Syrian Foreign Minister went to Arab League meetings to defend Lebanon against the Zionist oppression in the South and all over Lebanon? Zero times (i.e. Quiet Golan Hights for 30 yrs?) It's only happening on our soil in/from Lebanon.
How Many times the Syrian Foreign Minister defended the sovereignty of Lebanon versus always undermining our Country and ensuring Syria's control over the situation in Lebanon based on force and threat (Telephone calls from Moukhabarat to all the politicians in Lebanon.
How many times Assad small and big visited Lebanon for 30 yrs to at least recognize it as a Country?
The ONE WAY regime and this reform B.S means nothing and it's a cover up before assassinating and eliminating ALL opposition leaders (i.e. Lebanon: Mouawad, Murr, Harriri, Tueni, Hawi, kassir, Eid and so on. Syria:Khadam in exil, head of Syrian intelligence in Lebanon shot himself? and etc..). I do see reform in this picture:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpYD2Mw8SP4

Bummer, that's the end of the most excellent video clips praising the emir of Qatar for rebuilding the southern towns destroyed by hassin's divine stupidity and his Zionist friends that the filthy Zionist infested Iranian terrorists so called Islamic resistance in Lebanon's and assteez Nabih Berri's Network used to broadcast all day long, I sure miss them. They were very catchy, the darn thing use to get stuck in my head and I found myself humming it at all times like it was the Les Miserables song and I'm George Costanza, has that ever happened to you.
