Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger acknowledges there is "fear, even discontent" among fans over the club's failure to win a trophy since 2005.

The Frenchman addressed shareholders' concerns at Arsenal's Annual General Meeting on Thursday following the club's worst start to a season in more than 50 years.

Wenger says "I would personally like to turn around the skepticism surrounding this club at the moment ... it is too high."

Wenger, who has been in charge for 15 years, says "trust us, this team has quality, this team will fight."

Arsenal is seventh in the Premier League, 12 points behind leader Manchester City.

American owner Stan Kroenke addressed the AGM for the first time.
