Head of the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun revealed that his bloc is prepared to attend next week's legislative session, reported As Safir newspaper on Thursday.
He added however that he is “awaiting some clarifications and explanations” over some issues before making a final decision.
The Lebanese Forces meanwhile reiterated its rejection of attending a session that does not include the parliamentary electoral law on its agenda.
A prominent LF source told the daily that there was no convincing reason to omit the draft-law from the agenda.
It stressed that should nothing new emerge on this front, then the LF and Free Patriotic Movement will stay committed to their boycott of the legislative session.
The two Christian parties had declared on numerous occasions that they would not attend a legislative session that does not include the electoral law on its agenda.
Speaker Nabih Berri had set the session for November 12 and 13.

To be fair Aoun deserves some credit and he is not a failure.
In fact Lebanon was always in difficult political struggle before1990,
But after 1990 Aoun succeded to Chang everything (along with the name of his party change and reform)
Aoun succeeded to put behind all his enemity to Syria and HA to become their associate
Aoun unlike any other politition used all what he can to strengthen HA and undermine the army
Before Aoun christian were wrestling each other with hands, after him killing replaces wrestling.
Before Aoun there was a weak government but relatively heard by other countries,
Since Aoun start his political divine job we get rid of any government and constitution as all politicians talk loud at the same time therefore leaving the scene to the most heavily armed Iranian HA
Before we were annoyed by the multicolour tissues on road,
With Aoun no more annoyance as we live in the middle of rubbish
......Now who dare to say Aoun hasn't succeed?
Aoun'$ waiting to see what's in the goodie bag Berri and the Hezb will send him before making his decision. A session where the electoral law is one of the two bills required for both LF and the FPM to attend, the other one being the expats citizenship, as per their signed "intends agreement".
Aoun to be blamed for everything now is the time !! let us all push for new electoral law and new elections fast so we get rid of him n all his team...heryy!!!!!:)))
That won't probably change anything, if the results are similar to what they are now aoun and hezballa will keep obstructing the election of a president under the patented aoun or no one else. ;)
Clarification!! Ha. He wants to see what's in it for himself. The Parliament's legislative mandate is at its end and has been at its end for years. The only reason that this Parliament now exists is to serve as an electoral body to elect a President of the Republic and then it has no basis in law or the constitution to exist.
