A ministerial panel tasked with addressing the pollution of the Litani River demanded Thursday the closure of all licensed and unlicensed sand extraction mines near the river and the halt of sewage flow into the river.
The panel's meeting was held at the Yarze office of Defense Minister Samir Moqbel, who presided over the meeting.
Industry Minister Hussein al-Hajj Hassan briefed the committee on the measures that his ministry has and will conduct in order to put an end to the latest pollution and the panel asked him to continue his efforts in coordination with the relevant ministries, state-run National News Agency said.
As for the issue of waste water, the committee was briefed on the projects of the Energy and Water Ministry and the Council for Development and Reconstruction in this regard.
“$750 million are needed to finalize the projects while only $200 million are earmarked at the moment,” the panel was told.

Who is the criminal? Us or Israel?
We accused Israel for the past 30 years of stealing our water, then we destroy it by ourselves...
We don't need any enemy. We are our own enemy!!!

OMG ! OMG ! OMG !
Even on an article regarding river pollution I find you @mowaten spamming, trolling, and terrorizing other posters. What kind of person are you? New evidence surfaces by the minute that you are a paid poster but the question remains who pays you and for what exact purpose? Is it the Iranian embassy, is it the revolutionary guard, is it the syrian intelligence or the ex-KGB? These questions must be answered by you and NOW!

i agree @ Rita.Nahhas he never misses a chance to spam the forum and harass its posters with zero added value.

nobody cares what you do, what you think, and what happens to you iranian mouthpiece.

Cutie;
The Houthians have ruined everything that is beautiful and pure in our country. I remember when I was a beautiful innocent and carefree little girl with gorgeous blonde braided hair, my handsome father used to take me to swim in the Litani river and chase the butterflies and the pink salmon. Times have changed and the dark side has taken over. The Houthians poisoned our fish, our water, chased off the sea lions, and intimidated the rhinos. Our natural resources are nothing but waste now. It is a sad state of affairs... I love the wildlife cutie and it hurts me there are no more turtles left in my country.
