Rouhani Warns Saudi Arabia of Iran's 'Might'

President Hassan Rouhani warned Saudi Arabia on Wednesday that it will achieve nothing by threatening the might of Iran, as a war of words between the regional heavyweights intensifies.
"You know the might and place of the Islamic republic. People more powerful than you have been unable to do anything against the Iranian people," Rouhani said.
"The United States and their allies have mobilised all their capabilities against us and achieved nothing."
Rouhani appeared to be alluding to the Iran-Iraq war of 1980-88, in which revolutionary Iran successfully resisted an invasion by Saddam Hussein's regime supported by Gulf Arab and Western governments.
His comments came after Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman accused Iran of delivering missiles to Yemeni rebels for use against targets in the kingdom that he described as "direct military aggression."
Iran strongly denied supplying any missiles to the rebels saying that it would have been impossible to do so in any case in the face of a Saudi-led air and sea blockade.
Rouhani reiterated that Iran wanted a peaceful settlement of the conflict between the rebels and the Saudi-backed Yemeni government and of other wars around the region that have placed it at loggerheads with Riyadh.
"We want the welfare and development of Yemen, Iraq and Syria, and of Saudi Arabia too. There are no other paths forward than friendship, brotherhood and mutual assistance," he said.
"If you think that Iran is not your friend and that the United States and the Zionist regime (Israel) are, you are making a strategic and analytical error."

Saudi Arabia is not a heavy weight. They are nothing without America.

Even with america, they are nothing more than cows. By trump's own words.
Party presidential candidates Donald Trump, described the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—U.S. close Arab ally— to a ‘fat, and milky’ cow and added there is no interest for the United States to support Saudi despotic regime and sooner or later a popular uprising will erupt and we must side with that nation’s democratic ambitions.
Mr. Trump said continued that he was “definitely not a big fan” of Saudi Arabia, and that America had paid too much to “back Saudi terrorists up”.

His highness uses his REAL account! Must be running a fever, ps hope you both get wrecked.^

We'll... personally... I don't really care about Sauds or Iranis... both filth to me, even if recently Sauds have made positive steps forward, and have demonstrated some will to open up and make progress from their backward ideologies...
Nevertheless... to get to the point... even if Iran has much much superior manpower, it is a sand castle. Their weapons are old and obsolete. their army poorly train, their budget for armement extremely poor (Around 8 Billion) as opposed to the Saudi budget (60 Billion) and their state of the art weapons...
This being said, I think that Iranians are cowards, and that their bark a lot but don't bite... not openly at least... they are more like guerilla cowards, sending hezboz to do their dirty work, or using huthis, to send a small rotten missile... plus, they cannot afford more wars... they are totally broke... much more than the saudis...

Iran build their own country up, during heavy sanctions by the world.
Saudi Arabia was never sanctioned by world powers, and they enjoy good trade with the West.
The spot Iran has today as a regional power, they reached that height themselves.
You can not compare those two countries with each other, Saudi Arabia is an American Arab puppet state.

I hope you wreck each other, after all the toxicity you both brought to Lebanon.

Saudi Arabia lost on every middle Eastern front, that is the reason they put Hariri in house arrest, to try and gain some leverage against Iran through Lebanon.
The thing about it is, that it only hurts Lebanon and not Iran.
Hariri is the Prime Minister of Lebanon, so he must return home.

Long as they keep their petty games out of Lebanon, which is what I've been saying from the beginning. Queue the Iranian trolls who can't even go fight in their homeland in 3, 2, 1.....

I'm saying they shouldn't have been allowed into Lebanon in the first place. And secondly, that the people shouldn't have been so gullible. The results of their greed and being manipulated are coming to the forefront.
