Fugitive Wounded and Arrested in Beirut Southern Suburb

A fugitive was arrested Tuesday in the Beirut southern suburb of Raml al-Aali after a clash with the army.
“A patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided in the Raml al-Aali area the house of Qassem Khaddouj, who was wanted on charges of drug trade and shootings,” an army statement said.
“During the raid, the fugitive opened fire at the patrol, which prompted its members to respond in kind,” the army added, noting that the man was wounded in the legs and the left arm.
The raiding force seized “weapons, ammunition, CCTV cameras, DVR devices and various quantities of drugs.”

There are more than 45,000 shia criminals wanted on arrest warrants and on multiple charges in The Bekaa alone that will be included in the pardon decree being prepared by Imam Michel Aoun.
