Aoun Says 'No Immunity for Anyone' in Corruption Battle
President Michel Aoun stressed Monday that there will be no “immunity” for anyone in the fight against corruption.
“Some have always thought that the anti-corruption battle is long-forgotten, but it has started, albeit a bit late, and a number of files are being looked into,” Aoun told a delegation from the Maronite League in Baabda.
“There is an impetus and resistance against the anti-corruption battle as you have noticed over the past days, but we are determined to win the battle no matter the challenges and our resolve shall not weaken, especially that there will be no immunity for anyone regardless of their position,” the president added.
“It will also not involve any discrimination,” Aoun reassured.
And stressing “the importance of the public opinion -- which differentiates between the accused and the innocent -- in winning the battle,” the president pointed out that “the inspection and judicial authorities have clear experiences before them and they should perform their duties.”
I wonder if that means you, your son in law and the rest of your family ?
A few weeks ago when Gebran Bassil was asked why do people wonder of how he became a multimillionaire in such a short period since becoming a minister, in fact he replied, they are jealous of my "chatara". In Lebanon people use "chatara" as a synonym to acquiring illicit gains, making fast money using underhanded methods, taking bribes or kickbacks, corrupting the system to take advantage of it; and Bassil has excelled in all of these tactics and more. No wonder people are jealous.
LOL
Yes... we saw your impeccable implementation of justice those 2 last years...
Start with your son in outlaw!!
Never has Lebanon seen or know a president who is keen on fighting corruption-in law as much as this one, ever!
Does that mean Gebran Basil and Aoun’s daughter and their theft from the utilities, or is it only directed at Siniora?
Maybe you should start with your own laundry list ya Aoun:

I will quote shoo-yaba
"General Aoun and two of his close aides have taken refuge at the French Embassy here for the last 10 months, avoiding the risk of prosecution on charges of embezzling $35 million in public funds between 1988 and 1990.
The amnesty decision was arrived at during a stormy meeting of the Cabinet of President Elias Hrawi. Christian Cabinet ministers representing the Phalangist Party and another faction, the Lebanese Forces, opposed the decree.
Although the French granted asylum to General Aoun, the Beirut Government refused to let him leave the country, insisting that he should stand trial on the embezzlement charges."
