The Military Court on Thursday in absentia sentenced al-Jadeed TV reporter Adam Chamseddine to three months in prison over a Facebook post, al-Jadeed said.

The Court had summoned Chamseddine over posts “insulting the State Security agency” without specifying the exact post.

The reporter noted at the time that the post related to the agency's arrest of an AIDS-infected hairdresser and owner of a tattoo studio.

Chamseddine specifically criticized leaking the hairdresser's name to the media and “forcing him to sign the interrogation minutes without being allowed to see a lawyer.”

This is what happens when you privilege a sect: you destroy the legal system. I refer to Article 24 of the Constitution of Lebanon, so-called, which assigns half the seats in the Chamber of Deputies to Christians. This indeed is what life in Israel is like.
