Hizbullah Fuel Ship Enters Syria Waters

An Iranian ship loaded with diesel for Lebanon has entered Syria's territorial waters, Iran's semi-official news agency Fars said Thursday.
Two weeks ago Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that an Iranian fuel tanker had sailed toward Lebanon, and that others would follow to help ease the fuel shortages.
"The issue of the Lebanon-bound Iranian fuel ship is a security matter,” Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said yesterday, Wednesday.
He added that “Lebanon has turned from a state containing a terrorist organization into a state ruled by a terrorist organization,” referring to Hizbullah.
The delivery, organized by Hizbullah, would violate U.S. sanctions imposed on Tehran after former President Donald Trump pulled America out of a nuclear deal between Iran and world powers in 2018.

If (when) the Iranian tanker enters Lebanese waters, it and Lebanon will be in violation of US sanctions imposed on Hizballah and Iran.
This being the case, the government of the Republic of Lebanon must understand that by allowing this they themselves are a willing partner in these sanctions violations and will be treated with accordingly.

this fuel will not be for free.. the group of businessmen who bought it in Iran at a bargain price (also due to its medium-low quality) have waited until the decision that it would be priced at the dollar market rate when they re-sell it in Lebanon.. it is a pre-planned speculation and it is easy to guess into whose pockets the money will go, the same entity which would also exploit this speculation operation to play the country’s savior

  Lebanon is not under sanctions.
The dollar is at 20000 because Berri filled the public sector with useless shia employees to whom we have been paying salaries and compensations.
Syria and Iran are devil incarnate. They are not good neighbors.

Kid yourself not, one, two or three tankers won't be able to help plug the huge hole in Lebanon's energy demand. Showmanship is one thing, real solutions are another altogether.

They could unload it in Syria and smuggle it into Lebanon--for a change.
Then they can also control who benefits from it.

How did it get to Syrian water while coming from Iran. It should have passed Lebanon first.
Maybe the ship has crude oil which needs refining in Syria? Or was the ship smuggled to Syria?
