Report: Paris Says Bassil Not Iran Obstructing Govt. Formation
Iran is not obstructing the formation of the new government in Lebanon, a senior French source has said, hours after phone talks between the French and Iranian presidents.
“Paris is convinced that Iran is not impeding the government’s formation and there are no Iranian demands regarding the government. The one who is obstructing it is (Free Patriotic Movement chief) Jebran Bassil, who wants everything for himself,” the source told Annahar newspaper in remarks published Monday.
“Paris is asking Hizbullah to press its Aounist allies, but the party does not want a dispute with them,” the source added.
The source also said that France is “constantly” telling PM-designate Najib Miqati to form the government, noting that the latter was not selected by Paris for the post.
Pointing out that France is “not advising” Miqati not to step down, the source said that Paris is, however, pressing the PM-designate to speed up the government’s formation.

Ah yes the Frenchese and those who love them and call them mother. been telling you all them and the EU are in bed with the Mullahs. Had they followed up with crippling economic sanctions they probably will have forced the collapse of the Mullahs and hence the demise of the Hizbos.
But also right that Bassil is a problem
