Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat said Wednesday there is no escape from the necessity of carrying out reforms.

"Some say that the large number of tourists is a sign of prosperity and they forget that the Central Bank's reserves are declining every day as a result of the absence of basic reforms," Jumblat tweeted.

He added that when the reserves run out, the situation will be disastrous and "we will enter the unknown."

"There is no escaping that reforms must be carried out," Jumblat concluded.

There were plenty of reforms suggested, but SOCIALISTS like the PSP and it leftists cohorts rejected at every attempt. Privatization of ALL state run industries was the start, but you ALL want the government to run everything so you can continue to swindle the average citizen and line up your pockets.

Lebanon is doomed, Argentina is in a similar but not as bad situation since 2001, they’ve never recovered despite tons of reforms. Now depositors are getting robbed of their savings in several Chinese banks, the tsunami is coming.
