Leading international auditing firm KPMG, which is tasked by the International Monetary Fund to audit the work of Lebanon’s central bank between 2015 and 2020, has not found any violations, LBCI television reported on Thursday.

The firm has also been tasked with auditing the bank’s work between 2020 and 2021, LBCI noted.

The New York-based firm Alvarez & Marsal meanwhile continues its forensic auditing of the central bank’s accounts at the request of the Lebanese government.

Auditing should start how government wasted tens of billions since 2019, mostly on subsidized fuel, medicine and food products taken out of the country through illegal crossings by Hizbollah and company. This in addition to the economic collapse caused primarily by Hizbollah's political risk on the economy from sky-high interest rate and inflation that made investment impossible, to political and economic isolation, exodus of good paying foreign corporation, and rule of barbaric jungle with mentality that caused educated and productive Lebanese to immigrate and replaced by indoctrinated nonproductive basij dependent on Hizb degrading subsidy.
